New angle shows moment federal agents shoot Alex Pretti in Minneapolis – video

Federal authorities have released previously unseen footage that sheds new light on the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Alex Pretendika, also known as Alex Prendiville, in Minneapolis in May 2021. The video obtained by local news outlets appears to show the moment when federal agents fired their guns at Pretendika, who was experiencing a mental health crisis.

According to eyewitness accounts and police reports, Pretendika had been involved in an altercation with law enforcement prior to his shooting. However, the released footage seems to contradict earlier claims that Pretendika was aggressive towards officers before being shot.

The 40-second video shows agents from the U.S. Marshals Service and FBI arriving at the scene of a reported disturbance involving Pretendika. As they approach him, Prendiville appears disheveled and agitated, while law enforcement officials try to calm him down. Suddenly, multiple shots are fired, striking Pretendika in the chest and abdomen.

Witnesses who were present during the incident have claimed that Pretendika was not armed at the time of his death. The released footage also suggests that Prendiville's body did not appear to be moving or threatening officers before he was shot. This raises questions about the circumstances surrounding Pretendika's death and whether the use of lethal force by federal agents was justified.

The U.S. Marshals Service has maintained that Pretendika posed a threat to himself and others, prompting the shooting. However, critics argue that the released footage presents an alternative narrative, one in which Prendiville appears to be in distress rather than actively threatening law enforcement officials.

🚨 just saw this crazy vid of Alex Pretendika getting shot by feds... it's like something outta a nightmare 💔 40 seconds of pure chaos & the agents just start blasting him down with their guns 🤯 witnesses say he wasn't even armed at the time & his body was all messed up afterwards 🚑 it's like they just didn't care about his life, just did what they said... "posing a threat"... I don't know what kinda threat is just being in distress? 🤷‍♀️

🤔 Just watched the new vid on Alex Prendiville's shooting and I'm not sure what to think... it looks like they were just trying to calm him down but then BAM multiple shots fired 🚫😱 how can we be so sure he was a threat when he's basically just shakin' and cryin' 🤕? also, no gun? that's wild 😮 hope the gov releases more info soon... this is some real food for thought 👀

🤔 This is getting crazy... I'm literally speechless right now! The footage just dropped and it's mind-blowing... I mean, Alex was already in a mental health crisis, what were they thinking? 🙅‍♂️ The fact that the agents fired their guns without him being aggressive or armed... it's like, what even is going on here? 😱 And the eyewitnesses saying he wasn't moving or threatening anyone... it's like, did they not see that too? 🤷‍♂️ I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. It raises so many questions about police procedure and whether lethal force is ever justified in these situations. We need to get to the bottom of this! 💪

🤔 this is so crazy, you know? i mean, who gets shot by feds in their own apartment and nobody knows what's going on? 🚨 it's like, pretendika was having a mental health crisis, okay? he was disheveled, agitated... that's not exactly a threat sign to me 🤷‍♀️. and now we got this video that shows agents just freaking out and shooting him without reason? it's so messed up. the us marshals say he was a danger to himself and others, but what if they were just trying to cover something up? 🚫 this is why we need more transparency in law enforcement, you feel me?

man I'm still trying to wrap my head around this.. I remember watching that video of Alex's mom after she spoke out about his death and it was so heartbreaking 😔. now we're getting new footage and it's like, what really happened? 🤔 the thing is, even though they say he posed a threat, the video doesn't show him being aggressive or anything... just a guy who's clearly struggling with something. and then suddenly these agents start shooting at him 💥 it's wild to think that our justice system can be so flawed sometimes. I hope we get some real answers about what went down on that day 🤞

OMG u guys this is getting so wild 🤯 like what even was goin on here?! I'm still tryna process this new vid of Alex's killing and it's gettin me all types of emotions 😭🤕. Like, the footage shows him just chillin' calm down with the cops but then BAM! Agents are firin' shots left and right 🚫💥. It's like, did they really think he was a threat or somethin'? 🤷‍♀️ And wth about his mental health crisis... shouldn't they've been tryna help him? 😔. I'm low-key thinkin the gov is hidin somethin' from us 🤑👀 and this vid is like, proof that we need 2 know more 📺💭

I'm shocked by this new footage 🤯. It looks like they just started firing on Alex as he was walking around, not even trying to cuff him or anything. The fact that witnesses said he wasn't armed and didn't seem to be threatening anyone is really suspicious. I mean, what's the protocol here? If you think someone's a threat, don't just start shooting without trying to de-escalate the situation first. This whole thing feels really fishy to me 🐟. We need to know more about what was going on in that head of his and why they thought he posed such a big threat. It's like they're hiding something 👀.

I'm not sure if this new footage is gonna change anything, but it's definitely raising some red flags 🚨. I mean, we already know that Alex was having a mental health crisis and things escalated quickly. But now we're seeing the actual footage of when all hell broke loose. It looks like the agents were calm, but then BAM! Multiple shots fired? That's just a lot to take in.

I'm also kinda surprised they waited this long to release it. You'd think it would've come out sooner, especially with all the public outcry over Alex's death. But I guess that's just how things go sometimes... slow and messy 🤦‍♂️.

One thing's for sure though - we need more transparency about what happened that day. The US Marshals Service is saying Pretendika was a threat, but this footage suggests otherwise. It's like they're trying to justify something without actually saying it out loud. I'm not buying it, and neither should you 🙅‍♂️.

🤔 This is so messed up! I mean, can you believe what happened to Alex Pretendika? He's just 26 and already his life was over in a split second. It's like, we're living in a scene from a movie where the hero gets taken down by the bad guys, but it's real life for people like him.

I'm not buying the whole "he was aggressive" thing either. That footage looks so out of place with what I've seen of people experiencing mental health crises. He just looks lost and scared, you know? And then suddenly, boom! Multiple shots fired. It's like they were just waiting for an excuse to shoot him.

I'm not saying law enforcement can't make mistakes, but this whole thing feels fishy. 🐟 I think we need a closer look at what really went down that day and why Alex's life was cut short. This footage is definitely raising some questions and I hope it leads to some real change. 💪

I'm so frustrated about this Alex Prendiville case 🤕. The new footage is like, totally mind-blowing, you know? It's crazy that we're still getting all these conflicting stories after almost 2 years. I mean, who gets shot in the chest and abdomen by federal agents without even threatening them first?! 😱 The fact that witnesses said he wasn't armed just adds to the whole thing... it's like, what was really going on? And now this footage is out, showing how calm Prendiville was until those agents started shooting. It's just not right, you feel me? 🤔 This raises so many questions about police and FBI protocols, especially when it comes to mental health crises. We need more transparency and accountability, for sure! 💡

omg i cant even right now 🤯 this is so crazy... i feel bad for alexs fam and friends they must be going thru so much pain and its just not fair that we dont get the whole story till now 🙅‍♂️ the footage is wild like what was really goin on in that split second? did law enforcement have the right to shoot him when he didnt seem to be a threat at all? 🤔 i think we need more transparency and accountability from our gov and law enforcement agencies so we can get a better understanding of what happened and make sure its never happens again 💖

I don't buy this new footage being a game changer 🙄. It's just more ammo for the "feds were wrong" crowd. I mean, come on, it's not like we're seeing some clear-cut evidence of cops shooting an unarmed guy without provocation. The video's only 40 seconds long - what are we supposed to make of that? That Pretendika was just randomly standing there looking disheveled and agitated while the cops were trying to calm him down? Give me a break 🤣.

And let's not forget, this footage doesn't necessarily prove anything. It could be edited for dramatic effect or that it's been taken out of context. We don't know what happened in those 20 seconds leading up to the shots being fired. Maybe Pretendika was trying to get away from the agents or something? Until we see more concrete evidence, I'm not convinced this footage is as incriminating as everyone's making it out to be 😐.

just watched this new vid of alex pretendika's fatal shooting in minneapolis... so confusing 🤯 the footage shows him looking super distressed and agitated but not really doing anything threatening... meanwhile, agents are just chillin' there with their guns drawn 💁‍♀️ like they're waiting for someone to make a move that never comes. this raises serious questions about when lethal force is justified... 26 yrs old guy having a mental health crisis gets gunned down by feds 🚫 gotta see more context, but it's clear something fishy went down 👀

I'm literally shocked by how quickly people are accepting that Alex was definitely a threat 🤯. I mean, have we seen this 40-second clip? It seems like he's just freaking out and law enforcement is all over him, trying to calm him down. The fact that multiple shots were fired into his chest and abdomen is just insane... like, what even happened there? 😱 And now people are saying it was justified because he posed a threat? I don't think so 🙅‍♂️. It seems way more likely that Alex was just having a mental breakdown and needed help, not to be shot by the very people who are supposed to be helping him. I'm all about questioning authority, but this one is just too much for me... the man was a victim, plain and simple 💔

I'm low-key shocked by this new vid 🤯. I mean, it's crazy how much we didn't know about Alex's last moments. It's wild that the gov released this footage now and everyone's talking about it 😲. The thing that really gets me is how much these agents claimed Pretendika was being aggressive before shooting him 💔, but this vid shows him just trying to chill and law enforcement still decides to take his life 🤷‍♀️. I'm all for keeping people safe, but can't we find better ways to do it without resorting to violence? 🤝

this is wild, i mean, we're supposed to believe that pretendika was just wandering around, being aggressive and threatening ppl? no way... the video looks like it shows him being super calm and trying to de-escalate with the cops... meanwhile they just shoot him out of nowhere... u gotta wonder what's really goin on here, is this really just a case of mistaken identity or was something more fishy at play? 🤔👀

OMG this is so sad 😔 Alex Prendiville was just 26 and having a mental health crisis 🤕 it's like, what were they supposed to do? The footage is super telling, you can see the agents trying to calm him down but then suddenly all hell breaks loose 💥 and he gets shot. It's crazy that witnesses said he wasn't even armed 🙅‍♂️ and his body didn't look like it was threatening anyone either 🤷‍♀️ I mean, we know law enforcement has a tough job, but this just feels like an avoidable tragedy 💔

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this new video 🤯... it's pretty wild how it changes our understanding of what happened to Alex Pretendika. I mean, the fact that he was just walking around and experiencing a mental health crisis, and then suddenly gets shot by federal agents? It's just really disturbing.

I'm not buying that he was aggressive towards officers before being shot, though 🚫... the video shows him trying to calm down, not attacking anyone. And if witnesses are saying he wasn't armed, that's definitely a point to consider.

It's also really interesting how the U.S. Marshals Service is still claiming he posed a threat, but this new footage seems to contradict that entirely 🤔. I think we need to keep digging into this and get more answers about what really happened.
