So they're finally getting some new payloads for the Moon! I'm hyped

, but also kinda surprised it took this long for them to get something going. I mean, we've been talking about space exploration for decades now and you'd think NASA would have a few tricks up their sleeve by now.
That being said, these experiments look pretty cool, especially the one that's gonna study radiation on the lunar surface – that's some serious sci-fi stuff!

But at the same time, I'm not sure how much of this is actually gonna translate to actual human missions or what. It feels like they're just scratching the surface (no pun intended) and we need more concrete plans before we can start talking about establishing a lunar colony.
Still, it's a step in the right direction and I'm glad they're partnering with private companies to get some innovative ideas on board

. Fingers crossed that these payloads actually deliver what we want – not just more of the same old research, but actual progress towards making humanity a multi-planetary species!
