New York Archdiocese installs new Archbishop Ronald Hicks at St. Patrick’s Cathedral

I wonder, what makes this archbishop think that his church needs to be "relevant" again? Is it because people aren't showing up to mass like they used to back in the day? 🤔 And I thought having a missionary from El Salvador was cool, but now he's fluent in Spanish? That's awesome, btw! 🇪🇸 What does it mean by "polarized Church"? Is that like a big fight going on inside? And can you imagine leading a church with 2 million people? That's a lot of responsibility! 💪

idk about this Hicks guy, seems like just another try-hard trying to modernize the Church lol. his whole "relevant, living, and beautiful" vibe sounds super pretentious 🙄. I mean, can't he just say what everyone else is thinking? that being said, it's cool that he speaks fluent Spanish tho, maybe he'll actually get to meet some of the NYC Catholics who aren't just tourists 😂. anyway, gotta see how this whole new leadership thing plays out. fingers crossed he doesn't mess things up too badly 🤞.

So I think it's cool that Archbishop Ronald Hicks is all about making the Church more welcoming to people who are losing touch with their faith. It's like, we gotta stay relevant, you know? Can't just stick to the old ways and expect everyone to follow. And hey, speaking of being relatable, it's awesome that he speaks fluent Spanish - that's a huge asset in a city as diverse as NYC! I'm excited to see how he's gonna bring some fresh energy to St. Patrick's Cathedral and help bring people together. Fingers crossed it'll be a beautiful thing 💖

"Leadership is like entrepreneurship, you have to take risks and be open to change." 💡 The new Archbishop Ronald Hicks seems to be on the right track with his plans to revitalize the Church and engage with a diverse population. His unique background and fluency in Spanish will definitely help him connect with the community. But it's not going to be an easy task, as unity is often hard to come by. Still, with his immense qualifications and support from his predecessor, he's got a good chance of making a positive impact. 👍

🙏 this guy sounds super cool, i mean archbishop hicks is all about being relatable and connecting with people, that's so important these days. it's not just about having a big title anymore, he actually wants to make the church feel like part of our daily lives 💻. and fluent spanish? mind blown! he's gonna be able to talk to so many more people in nyc 🌆. i'm curious to see how he'll balance keeping tradition with trying new things... guess we'll just have to wait and see 😊

🙏 just hope this new archbishop brings some fresh vibes to st patricks cathedral, been going there for years and it feels like they're stuck in the past 🕰️ been hearing the same old sermons and music since i can remember 😴 would love to see them modernize and make it more inclusive for everyone 👥
