NJ's MetLife Stadium to host 6 games in next year's FIFA World Cup

MetLife Stadium to Stage Major FIFA World Cup Matches

Fans in the New York tri-state area are set to witness some of the most highly-anticipated matches of next year's FIFA World Cup. According to the official schedule announced last week, MetLife Stadium will host a total of six games during the tournament, which is expected to bring millions of soccer enthusiasts to the stadium.

On June 13, Brazil and Morocco will face off at 6 pm ET in one of the most highly-anticipated quarterfinal matchups. A few days later, France and Senegal will take to the pitch on June 16 at 3 pm ET, while Norway and Senegal will clash on June 22 at 8 pm ET.

Further games are scheduled for June 25, as Ecuador takes on Germany at 4 pm ET, and Panama faces England at 5 pm ET. The grand finale – the World Cup Final – is set to take place on July 19 at 3 pm ET, bringing together fans from around the world in a battle for the ultimate soccer prize.

Tickets have already been snapped up by enthusiastic supporters from 200 countries, with nearly 2 million sold so far. FIFA has announced that it will not be using its dynamic pricing plan for this phase of ticket sales, instead opting to sell tickets at a fixed price to ensure fairness and accessibility for all fans.

The World Cup tournament is set to kick off on June 11 in Mexico City and will also be hosted by venues across Canada and the United States before culminating at MetLife Stadium. The US team's participation has generated significant excitement, particularly after their last appearance in the quarterfinals in 2002.

As fans eagerly await the start of the tournament, rumors are circulating about a potential matchup between soccer legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – should both players qualify for the World Cup through their respective teams. While Messi hasn't yet made his intentions public, fans are counting down the days until what promises to be an unforgettable soccer spectacle.

🤩 I think it's awesome that MetLife Stadium is hosting some of these huge FIFA World Cup matches! 🌎 The energy in NYC is gonna be electric with millions of soccer enthusiasts flocking to the stadium. The fixed price ticket policy by FIFA is a huge win for fans, can't wait to see the Brazil vs Morocco and France vs Senegal matches go down on the pitch 🏟️🔥

🤔 so metlife stadium is hosting some big fifa games? that's cool i guess... it's not like they're gonna let anyone in for free or anything 🤑 2 million tickets already sold, that's crazy! i get why fifa is trying to be fair and stuff but dynamic pricing can't be all bad, right? 🤷‍♂️ what if the prices are too high for regular joe fans? still stoked for the US team tho, let's go americans!!! ⚽️ the whole world cup thing sounds like a big deal, i mean who doesn't love soccer... but is it really worth all the hype? 🤷‍♂️ and omg, messi vs crono would be lit 🔥 fingers crossed both make it to the tournament!

omg have you seen those ticket prices are crazy i mean i get it they need to make some cash but 2 mil for a single game thats insane lol i wish i could afford one tho idk how people can afford that kinda stuff anyway im hyped for the world cup tho like who isnt right?! 🤩 and omg lional messi vs cristiano ronaldo would be epic 😲 cant wait to see if they qualify and play each other

just got wind of this FIFA world cup news 🌎😍 can you imagine seeing lionsel messi and cristiano ronaldo go head to head on the pitch? the crowd at metlife stadium is gonna be ELECTRIC! but i wish they would've done more to ensure that tickets are affordable for everyone, not just the wealthy few who snapped them up quick. 2 million sold so far is still a huge number, but what about those fans from other parts of the world who can't afford to travel or pay exorbitant prices for tickets? 🤔

Ugh, think they're gonna squeeze all those people into MetLife Stadium? Traffic and parking nightmares guaranteed 🚗😩 And don't even get me started on the dynamic pricing plan - just a fancy way of saying they're gonna rip off fans with overpriced tix 💸. Can't believe FIFA is opting out, what about fans who can't afford those "fixed" prices? 🤑 This whole thing feels like one big money grab to me...

Umm this is gonna b huge!!! MetLife Stadium's gonna be hoppin with thousands of screaming fans from all over the world on match day 🤩! I mean Brazil vs Morocco already has me hyped, but then you got the US team playing and that's a whole different level of excitement 🇺🇸🏆. And can we pls talk about the Messi vs Ronaldo rumors? It's not just about who wins, it's about the drama, the hype, the GOALS!!! 😂💥 I need tix ASAP lol

omg is it really gonna be that epic?? 🤩 i was thinking of flying in from asia just to catch those brazil vs morocco and france vs senegal games at metlife stadium tho 🏟️😅 but 2 mil tickets sold already?! that's insane!! i hope they keep the prices fair for all fans tho, wouldn't want anyone to get left out 💸🌎

omg i'm literally so hyped for the US team's chances this year!! 🤩 it's been ages since we last made it to the quarterfinals and i know our squad is hungry for a win! 🇺🇸⚽️ i've already got my tickets (thanks to some awesome friend who scored them for me lol) and i'm planning on attending like, 3 games max because i dont wanna deal with all those annoying lines 😒 metlife stadium better be ready for the crowds!! and oh man a potential match between messi and cr7 is giving me LIFE!!! 🤯 i mean, can you even imagine the drama?!

idk why they're being so optimistic about this whole thing 🤔. millions of people will flock to metlife stadium and the city's gonna get destroyed, traffic is gonna be a nightmare... and it's not like we actually know if the us team's gonna do anything in the tournament. everyone's getting their hopes up just because some legends might show up, but let's be real, messi and ronaldo are ancient now 😂. tickets are selling out fast, that just means people can't afford 'em anyway 🤑. the whole thing feels like a marketing stunt to me...

omg 🤩 can you even imagine watching brazil vs morocco live @ metlife stadium 😲?? and france vs senegal too 🇫🇷🇸🇳 on june 16 📆? i wish i could get tickets 🎟️ but like 2 mil have already sold out 🤯 and fifa is being all fair & accessible 💕. me personally, i'm hyped for the us team 🇺🇸 and if messi & ronaldo play each other lol 👊 would be so epic 🌟!

OMG u guys can u even imagine watching Brazil vs Morocco at MetLife Stadium 🤯🏟️ it's gonna be lit!! i mean i know we're still a ways off from the actual tournament but just thinking about all those matches is giving me goosebumps 🦆 and lol those ticket sales are insane 2 million already sold?! that's crazy 💸 i'm keeping an eye on Messi and Ronaldo too, their rivalry is gonna be so intense 🔥👊

🤔 I'm skeptical that FIFA is actually going to stick to their promise of selling tickets at a fixed price... it's just too good to be true. I mean, have they seen the prices they're charging for other tournaments? 🤑 It's like they want to make a quick buck off the fans before the actual games even start. And don't even get me started on those ticket sales already snapped up - 2 million and counting... that's just crazy! What if all those people show up and MetLife Stadium can't handle it? 😬

🏟️ MetLife Stadium is gonna be crazy busy next year 🤯. I'm not really into football, but I know how much people love it here. Millions of fans from all over the world are going to flock to NYC for the World Cup 🌎. It's gonna be a huge deal for the city and I hope they can handle all the hype 😅. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Messi vs Ronaldo? 🤔 Those two are legends, but let's not forget about the US team too - we've got some talented players! 💪

OMG, have you ever been to MetLife Stadium on a concert night? It's like a whole different world 🤯 They have these huge screens all around the stadium and the energy in the air is just electric 💥 I was at one of Taylor Swift's shows last year and it was insane! The fans were singing along to every single word and the whole stadium was vibrating with excitement 😆 I'm so stoked that they're hosting some World Cup matches there - can you imagine watching a match on a massive screen surrounded by thousands of screaming fans? 🤩 It's gonna be such an epic experience! 👏

OMG 😍 MetLife Stadium is gonna be LIT!!! 🎉 I'm so hyped that they're hosting some of the biggest matches of the World Cup! I mean, who wouldn't want to see Brazil vs Morocco or France vs Senegal?! 🤩 The US team's chances are looking good too, and if Messi and Ronaldo show up, it's gonna be a party in NYC! 💥 I'm already counting down the days until June 11th... can we get more updates on ticket sales tho? Like, how many tickets do they have left? 🤑

Millions of fans from all around the world are gonna be there to witness the magic happen! 🌎 Tickets are already sold out, but who cares? It's not like we need 'em anyway... just imagine being in that stadium with all those people cheering for their teams! 🎉 Even if Messi and Ronaldo don't make it, I'm sure there'll be other amazing players to watch - can't wait to see the US team go up against some of the best teams in the world! 💪 The whole vibe is just so electric... FIFA is doing a great job too, making sure everyone has access to tickets at the same price. What more could we ask for? 🤗

🤔 MetLife Stadium is gonna be SO packed next year! Like, 2 million sold already and it's not even close to the tournament 🤑. I'm not surprised though, who wouldn't wanna see Messi vs Ronaldo in the World Cup? 🏆 That'd be epic for the fans, but also super intense for the players 😬. Also, how cool that FIFA is doing away with dynamic pricing this time around? It's all about making sure everyone can enjoy the match without breaking the bank 💸. Can't wait to see what other surprises the tournament has in store! 🎉

Maybe FIFA should just make it a ticket lottery or something 🎉
