Notre Dame's CFP snub for Alabama, Miami explained by committee

So I think it's kinda crazy how important those conference championship games are now 🤯. Like, you can't just win one game and expect to get in the playoff, right? But at the same time, if a team has a bad performance and another team steps up, that can make all the difference too.

I mean, Notre Dame got robbed, tbh 😔. They had an amazing season and didn't lose by more than 3 points in most of their games, but somehow they get snubbed for Miami? It's just not right.

But hey, at least the CFP committee was clear about why they made those decisions 🤓. I guess what it shows is that there's still a lot to consider when evaluating teams, and conference championships are definitely one of them.

🤔 I'm kinda surprised that the CFP committee put so much weight on those conference championship games 🏈. It feels like it's still all about the big boys with deep pockets, you know? Like, just because Alabama has a stronger body of work doesn't mean they're the only ones worth considering 🤑. And what about the other teams that had a tougher time in their championships? Didn't they deserve some love too? 🤷‍♂️ I also wonder if Notre Dame's loss to Clemson was really that much worse than Miami's loss to Virginia 🤔. It's all just so... subjective 🤷‍♂️. Can't we just use some real numbers and metrics for once? 📊💯

I'm loving how these committee folks are trying to explain their decisions but honestly it feels like they're just making excuses 🤷‍♂️. I mean, BYU gets roasted and Miami jumps ahead because they got lucky? And then Alabama doesn't get punished for getting destroyed in the SEC championship game... that's not a big deal? 🤔

And can we talk about how Notre Dame's loss to Clemson is somehow less impressive than Miami's victory over Virginia? I don't think so, Fighting Irish fans will disagree 😂. It feels like the committee is just trying to justify their decisions rather than actually evaluating the teams on merit.

I'm not saying it's going to change anything but it would be cool if they could give us a more straightforward explanation 🤓. Maybe instead of all this back-and-forth they should just give us a straight answer: "Miami and Alabama made the cut, Notre Dame didn't". It's not that hard 🔥

🤔 I mean, come on...the CFP committee is all about that "body of work" 💼! Like, just because Alabama had a solid 12-game record doesn't necessarily make them the best team? 🤷‍♂️ And what's with the emphasis on conference championships being a huge factor? Can't they just look at the whole picture? 📊 I'm all for evaluating teams based on their performance, but it feels like there's still some bias going on here. 🤦‍♂️
