Nvidia CEO denies he’s ‘unhappy’ with OpenAI

Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang has denied being "unhappy" with OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, a few days after reports sparked concerns about the future of their massive investment deal. When asked if Nvidia would be investing $100 billion in OpenAI as initially announced, Huang said "no, nothing like that".

However, when questioned further, he expressed his support for the company, calling it "one of the most consequential companies of our time" and stating that he believes in their work, saying "Sam is closing the round (of investment) and we will absolutely be involved." He added that Nvidia plans to invest a great deal of money with OpenAI, which may potentially surpass any previous investments made by the company.

idk why nvidia's ceo is being so cagey about their investment in openai 🤔... like, i get it, they wanna keep some cards close to their chest, but this kinda backpedaling is weird... and then he goes on to praise openai as "one of the most consequential companies of our time" and says he believes in their work? that sounds super contradictory to me... if he's so sure about investing heavily in them, why not just say yes from the start? 🤷‍♂️

🤔 I'm kinda surprised by Jensen's response at first, I mean who wouldn't want to clarify things when rumors start flying around? But then he goes and says he believes in OpenAI's work and plans to invest a massive amount of money... that just sounds like Nvidia trying to smooth things over while also reassuring everyone they're still on board 🤑. What's really going on here, though? Is there something we don't know about this deal that's making people hesitant? I'm curious to see how this plays out - OpenAI seems like a game-changer in AI tech, and Nvidia's investment is no joke 💸

lol, so Jensen Huang just "clarified" things 🤦‍♂️... like, come on, if you're gonna play it cool, at least try not to contradict yourself 😒. $100 billion was a pretty bold claim, and now it's like, totally down the drain 💸. But hey, good for OpenAI, I guess? I mean, Sam's got skills 💪... he just needs to be more honest, you know? Anyway, sounds like Nvidia is still all in on ChatGPT 🤖... we'll see how that plays out 🔮

I'm a bit confused about this situation 🤔, so Nvidia's CEO just says they're not investing $100 billion in OpenAI but then also says they'll be involved and that it might even be more than what they've invested before 😂. I mean, can't you just say yes or no, right? 💁‍♀️ Anyway, it sounds like Sam Altman is still on track to close the round and get some serious cash from Nvidia 🤑. Still, it's interesting to see how these massive tech companies are navigating their investments and partnerships 👀.

I'm like totally unsure about this whole thing... 🤔 I mean, Jensen Huang is saying he's not gonna invest $100 billion in OpenAI, but then he's all like "oh wait, we're definitely gonna do it" 😂... Like, which one is it, dude? 🤷‍♂️

And another thing, if he's saying they might invest more than anything Nvidia has ever done before, that sounds kinda suspicious to me... 💸 I mean, what's the real reason behind all this investment? Is it just because OpenAI is making some cool AI stuff or is there something more to it? 🤔

I'm also kinda curious about Sam's plans for closing that round of investment... Is he just gonna use that money to sit on a pile and do nothing, or is there a real strategy behind it? 🤑 I don't know, man, I'm just lost in all this tech talk... 🤯

I'm kinda confused about what's going on here 🤔. On one hand, Jensen Huang says they're not investing $100 billion in OpenAI like they initially said, which might be a bit of a downer for the company... I mean, who doesn't love a big chunk of change? 💸 But at the same time, he's still super supportive and believes in their vision. That's gotta count for something, right? 😊 And let's be real, $100 billion is a huge number to just ditch like that. It sounds like Nvidia might actually come through with some serious funding... so yeah, I'm trying to stay positive about it 🤞

I think it's interesting how Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, seemed to dance around the truth at first 🤔. On one hand, he denied being "unhappy" with OpenAI, which could've been misinterpreted as a rejection of their partnership. But then, he proceeded to express his support for the company and hinted that they would indeed be investing heavily in them 😊.

It's also worth noting that when asked about the initial $100 billion investment deal, Huang said "nothing like that" - it's almost like he was trying to downplay the significance of their commitment 💸. Nonetheless, his subsequent statements indicate a clear intent to invest a substantial amount with OpenAI, which could have significant implications for both companies 🚀.

I'm curious to see how this plays out and what other projects Nvidia and OpenAI have in store for us 🔥.

I'm kinda surprised by Jensen's response 🤔... I mean, he initially said Nvidia wouldn't be investing $100 billion in OpenAI, but then basically confirms they're still on board 💸👍. It's like, if you're not excited about the deal, why even invest at all? 😅 Still, it's great to hear that Sam is closing the round and Nvidia plans to put a lot of money into OpenAI 🚀💥. This partnership has the potential to change the game for AI research and development, so I'm hyped! 💪

So Nvidia's CEO just kinda downplayed the whole $100 billion thing on OpenAI, but then goes on to basically say they're super stoked about investing in them and that it could be more than their usual investment amount 🤑. It's like, what's up with the mixed signals? One minute he's denying the massive investment, the next he's saying they'll "absolutely" be involved... and heavily so 💸. I'm guessing Nvidia wants to keep all their cards close to their chest for now, but it's clear they think OpenAI is onto something big 🤔. The thing that really gets me though, is why would Jensen Huang say that OpenAI is one of the most consequential companies of our time if he's not entirely sold on the idea? Either way, this investment deal is gonna be huge and I'm excited to see how it all plays out 💻
