NYC investigating Harlem building for Legionella after 2 Legionnaires’ cases

man this is so frustrating 🤯 can't believe there's another outbreak in harlem and people are still suffering 💔 i mean what's the point of having a health department if they can't even get it together? 👎 the fact that residents are being left in the dark about the potential presence of legionella is just infuriating 😡 and the management company's response is so lackadaisical 🙄 "safety is our top priority" yeah right, like they've been doing a great job on that front so far 😒

🤔 I'm not buying that "no indication" thing from the management company... like they're expecting us to trust them without any concrete proof? 🙄 And what's with the lack of transparency around this whole situation? They just send out a notice months after the initial outbreak and expect everyone to be cool with it? 😒

I mean, I get that Legionnaires' disease is a waterborne illness and it can't be spread from person to person, but come on... if there's even a hint of contamination in the water system, shouldn't they be testing for it ASAP? 🚽 And what about the fact that this outbreak happened again just months after the last one? Like, what are we supposed to think?

I'm not saying the health department is doing their job or anything... but can we at least get some sources on this? Are there any records of previous Legionnaires' outbreaks in the area? And what's with the "safety as our top priority" line from Urban American management? 🤷‍♂️ Sounds like just another PR stunt to me... 👀

I'm so surprised they're not just demolishing those buildings already! I mean, why take any chances with people's lives, right? 🤦‍♂️ It's not like Legionnaires' disease is a common problem in densely populated areas or anything... but seriously, what's the point of having an investigation when you know the answer? Tower B's water system has been compromised for months and now they're just going to wait weeks to see if there's any evidence? Unbelievable. And don't even get me started on the management company's lack of transparency... I mean, who needs that kind of drama in their life? 🤯

Ugh, this is so frustrating 🤯! I cant believe ppl r gettin sick from Legionnaires in those buildings 🚽. My friend's cousin actually lived in one of them and she was complaining about her water pressure all the time 🌊. It's like, why didn't they test it sooner?! 😡

I feel for Heaven Berhane, she's totally right, ppl r already distrustful of their healthcare systems and now this? 🤷‍♀️ It's not just about the management company, it's about the city's protocols too 📊. We need better testing and communication so ppl can stay safe 💡.

I hope they get to the bottom of it soon, like, weeks from now is too long ⏰. And what really bothers me is that ppl r gettin sick from Legionnaires' but we don't always know where it's coming from 🤔. It's just not right 😞.
