I gotta say, I was really looking forward to watching Michelle Pfeiffer in this Christmas movie But it ended up feeling like just another cheesy holiday flick The storyline was so convoluted and unfunny, I didn't even stay till the end I mean, what's up with that weird obsession of hers? And don't even get me started on how unauthentic those family dynamics were The cast is talented but they got stuck with a bad script Guess you could say this one's a skippable holiday watchlist
I dont think michele pfeiffer should have taken that role ... i mean, whats up with her in this movie? she looks so out of place ... felicity jones was better suited for the part imo and that storyline? no thanks ... it just felt like they were trying to cash in on christmas vibes rather than actually making a good film
I dont think Amazon should be relied solely on star power to make a film work . This is what happens when they throw big names together without putting in the time to develop the story and characters properly. Its like they just phoned it in until Pfeiffer's name showed up on screen .
just watched oh what fun and tbh i was expecting something so much more from michelle pfeiffer she's got talent pouring out of every pore but in this film it feels like she's just going through the motions any way, the whole thing just felt kinda... meh felicity jones and chloΓ« moretz did try to carry the movie, but even they couldn't elevate the weirdness that is claire's obsession gonna stick to netflix this holiday season 1.5/5 stars οΈ
Ugh, I'm so over these big-name casts getting dragged down by bad scripts . Michelle Pfeiffer is one of my faves, but even she can't save this mess. I mean, the premise sounds kinda cool, but it's just not executed well at all. The whole storyline feels like a jumbled mess and I was never invested in Claire's character . And don't even get me started on the jokes - they're so unfunny . It's like they're trying too hard to be funny or sentimental, but it just falls flat. I guess you could say Amazon really should've put more thought into this one .
I feel so meh about this movie . I mean, you gotta love Michelle Pfeiffer and co., but they're stuck in this weird, unfunny story that's just not working out. It's like, what happened to the script? I know Amazon tried to make it special, but honestly, it feels like more of the same holiday drivel we get from Netflix every year... cheap, formulaic stuff . Even the music can't save it! The only good thing is that Michelle Pfeiffer isn't totally lost in this movie, but overall, I'd say skip it and watch something else instead
