On World Diabetes Day, Ald. Mitts delivers tough love message about healthy eating

So I was thinking about this politician, Alderman Emma Mitts, and she's really pushing people to eat healthy 🥗. Like, she says her life literally changed when she stopped eating all that junk food 🍔😷. Now she's telling everyone else to do the same. It's like, fair enough, right? I mean who doesn't want to be healthier? But it is a bit weird that she's saying this now, just before Thanksgiving 🦃. Like, people are gonna want to indulge in some delicious turkey and stuffing, you know? But maybe her point is good - we shouldn't eat too much of the bad stuff all the time. And I like the idea of finding healthier options, even if it means settling for something a bit less tasty 🤤.

i think mitts is kinda cool for bringing up this topic, especially with world diabetes day coming around 🎉 it's like she's saying "listen, we can enjoy our lives and still take care of ourselves". i mean, let's be real, we all love a good cheat day every now and then 😂 so it's not like she's asking us to give up pizza or anything (although, that does sound pretty appealing right about now 🍕). mitts just wants her colleagues to be more aware of what they're putting in their bodies, you know?

I gotta say, this is pretty cool 😊 that Alderman Emma Mitts is leading by example and sharing her personal journey with diabetes management. I mean, she's not just talking about it, she's living it - and it's inspiring others to do the same! 🤩 It's like, we know everyone loves their comfort foods, but sometimes you gotta think about what's best for your body in the long run. I'm all for finding that balance, you know? 💪 Maybe instead of cutting out all sugary treats, we can just... eat them in moderation? 😊 Like Mitts said, it's not about depriving ourselves, but about being mindful of our choices. And hey, if we can learn to love greens and healthy options too 🥗, who knows, we might just become the healthier versions of ourselves! 👍

I think it's kinda weird she's pushing her wellness journey onto everyone else 🤔. I mean, we all gotta make our own choices about what goes into our bodies, right? It sounds like she's trying to control what people eat instead of encouraging them to take care of themselves in their own way. And yeah, maybe she didn't exactly choose the best time to talk about this stuff with Thanksgiving coming up... I guess you could say she's just trying to spread some awareness 🤝

omg u guys can totally see where she's coming from 🤩 her story is so inspiring! i'm all about prioritizing health too, but like emma said it's not about cutting out food we love entirely, it's about finding balance 😊 i totally get why macarthur's restaurant might be tempting lol. let's all just agree to try a little healthier this year and show our bodies some love ❤️

I'm totally loving this initiative from Alderman Emma Mitts 🙌! Prioritizing our health is soooo important, especially with all the processed foods out there. I know it can be tough to give up our fave treats, but think of all the amazing energy you'll have when you're fueling your body right 💪🌱. Plus, she's totally right about the four basic food groups - we should be eating more plant-based stuff and less sugary snacks 🍃🥗. And I love how she offered a compromise to Jason Ervin - MacArthur's has those amazing greens options! 🤩 You go, Emma Mitts - you're an inspiration 💖
