Tributes have poured out from the worlds of showbiz and politics as beloved Canadian comedian Catherine O'Hara has passed away at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
The loss was felt deeply by Schitt's Creek co-creator Dan Levy, who called O'Hara "a legend" and said she would be deeply missed. He remembered her fondly, describing their working relationship as "our friendship", adding that he cherished every funny memory they shared together.

In a statement, Carney said he joined all Canadians in mourning, adding that O'Hara had earned her place in the canon of Canadian comedy.
O'Hara is survived by her husband Bo Welch and sons Matthew and Luke. The family will hold a private celebration of her life.

i just can't believe she's gone

who made us laugh for decades and now she's gone too soon? 
what's the deal with aging stars passing away like that? is it just the way life works or is there something we can do to prevent it? 
anyway, i'm so sad that Schitt's Creek ended and I won't get to see more of her hilarious acting 
and I love how all these famous people are talking about how much she meant to them 
it's like she was a part of their families or something
