Opinion: ‘Until we meet again, brave little cat.’ The heartbreak and taboo of burying our pets | CNN

I'm so glad they're finally giving pet owners a place to grieve in peace 🌹. I lost my fur baby last year and it was one of the toughest moments of my life. The idea of burying them alongside me is actually really beautiful, it's like we'll be reunited eventually 💔. And yeah, €200 might seem steep for some people, but think about all the love and care that goes into creating those cemeteries... it's worth every penny 🙏.

I mean, can you believe how far we've come with pet cemeteries? 🤯 Like, I was talking to my grandma the other day and she told me about when her dog passed away back in the 80s and they just put it in the backyard or something. No big deal! Nowadays, we're like "oh no, our fur baby is gone" and we need a whole ceremony for it 🤣. But seriously, it's awesome that there are places like Barcelona's pet cemetery where people can go to grieve and remember their pets. I've lost my own cat a few years ago and it was so hard, but having a place to go and think about happy memories with my kitty made the pain a bit easier 🐱💔. Maybe one day we'll have more places like that for our parakeets or whatever... 😂

Its sad but good 2 c that people r finally startin 2 take pet loss serious 🐾💔. Its not just about throwin away a body, its about givin a human some space 2 cry & reflect on the bond u had with ur furry friend. And yeah, its great 2 see more ppl turnin 2 online forums & digital cemeteries as alternatives 4 traditional burials. €200 charge? thats not too shabby 🤑. I still think home burials r a better option tho - less hassle & cheaper 😊. Whatever way u choose 2 honor ur pet's memory, its all about showin love & respect 💕

🐾💔 it's so cool to see pet cemeteries popping up everywhere! I mean, can you imagine having a place where you can go and pay respects to your furry BFF? 🤣 it's like we're finally recognizing that our pets are more than just animals, they're part of the family. and let's be real, losing a pet is like losing a member of the family... it's devastating 💔

I love how these cemeteries are becoming more accepted and available options for people to grieve and remember their pets. and the fact that there are charities offering counseling services for those struggling with pet loss? 🤝 that's just amazing! we're finally starting to normalize the human-animal bond.

and omg, co-burial of cremated animals and people is a whole new level of emotional connection... 💀 it shows that we're really acknowledging the depth of our relationships with our pets. no more hiding our heartache, let's celebrate our love for our furry friends! 🎉

i feel like this is gonna be huge 🤩, pet cemeteries are already popping up all over the world! its crazy how far we've come from just acknowledging loss with a simple grave marker in the victorian era... now were like "hey let's create a whole space for people to process grief and celebrate their animal friendships" 💕 it makes total sense that charities are stepping in with counseling services too - pet loss is still super taboo and many ppl dont know how to deal. digital pet cemeteries are also a game changer...i can already imagine some ppl freaking out about the €200 fee tho 😂 but overall im so here for this progression 🌈
