OMG , I'm literally shook by this news! The fact that Bangladesh's former PM Sheikh Hasina got a death sentence for her alleged role in the crackdown on student-led protests is just heartbreaking . It's like, what happened to our world where we value human life and justice? The prosecution presented some crazy audio recordings of her calls to link her directly to the atrocities... that's some serious incriminating evidence . I'm all for accountability, but this feels like a classic case of politics vs people . Can't wait to see how the opposition parties react to this verdict, it's gonna be interesting! #JusticeForBangladesh #AccountabilityMatters #HumanRights
I'm reading this now and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it... a death sentence for someone who was already living in exile? It's just so sad for the families of those who lost their lives. The fact that prosecutors were able to link her to the atrocities through audio recordings is pretty damning, though.
This is crazy!! I mean, a death sentence for a former PM? That's some serious consequences, right? I can see why there's tension in Dhaka with all the security measures and protesters gathering outside... it's a really sensitive topic for Bangladeshi people. I'm not surprised that Hasina was found guilty - those audio recordings of her calls did seem incriminating. But still, I wonder if this trial is just another example of politics as usual?
I've been following this case and I gotta say, it's all very dramatic... the use of drones and lethal force against civilians? That's some heavy stuff. And what about the families who lost loved ones in that crackdown? The verdict might bring them some closure, but I hope the opposition parties don't resort to violence - that would be a shame for Bangladesh as a whole.
I'm just curious to see how this plays out with the upcoming election and Hasina's son speaking out... it's gonna be interesting to see how things unfold in Bangladesh!
just seen this news and gotta say its wild how bangladesh's got a trial going on like this . i mean she's being held accountable for what went down in those student protests but at the same time its not like shes getting away scot free - death sentence kinda says that . its interesting to see how the ppl of bangladesh are reacting too, some are relieved while others are worried about the opposition parties causing unrest . overall feels like a lot of pressure on bangladesh right now, but at least justice is being served...i guess
