Patriots QB Tommy DeVito hopes New England blows out Giants on Monday

Tommy DeVito's Patriots Aim to Embarrass Giants in Monday Night Showdown

The New England Patriots are expected to host the struggling New York Giants on Monday Night Football, and Patriots quarterback Tommy DeVito is looking forward to a blowout victory. DeVito spent two seasons with the Giants, starting eight games and earning himself a devoted fan base in the tri-state area.

However, DeVito's time with the Giants was marked by disappointment, particularly after being cut from the team just before the start of the regular season. Despite his relatively modest stats, DeVito holds no grudges against his former club and is eager to see them get thrashed on Monday night.

"I loved my time there," DeVito told MassLive's Karen Guregian in a recent interview. "When I was there, it was 'Go Giants' but now it's 'Go Pats' all the way." When asked if he'd be able to provide valuable insights for the Patriots as they prepare for their game against the Giants, DeVito replied, "I hope we blow them out."

Not everyone is buying into DeVito's boast about being a game-changer for the Patriots. Head coach Mike Vrabel was skeptical when asked if DeVito could help with game planning. "The play styles of certain guys that he would understand and know – again, what the call sheet is, what it is, it's just – if you could tell me when one of those calls is coming off of the 120 that are on the call sheet, I mean, that'd be a pretty good skill," Vrabel said.

Despite DeVito's uncertain role in the Patriots' game planning process, his eagerness to see the Giants get beat on Monday night is undeniable. The Patriots will need all the help they can get with several key injuries, including starting left tackle Will Campbell, who was placed on injured reserve last week.

For the struggling Giants, a blowout loss at the hands of their old team would be a devastating blow. With the Giants' top playmakers like Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo hampered by injuries, New England will look to capitalize on their opponent's misfortunes.

man I gotta say Tommy DeVito is really hyped for this game 🀩! and I get why he'd wanna see the Giants get thumped, they did cut him just before the season started which is pretty harsh πŸ˜”. but at the same time I think it's awesome that he's still got love for the team despite all that πŸ’•. DeVito's comments about being a game-changer for the Patriots are kinda funny too lol, I mean if he can just give them some solid advice on how to beat the Giants it'd be great πŸ˜‚. but honestly whoever wins this game is gonna need some serious luck because the Giants are in shambles right now πŸ€•

Monday Night is gonna be lit πŸ”₯🏈! I'm all for a Patriots win, especially with DeVito looking to prove himself. He was cut from the Giants, so he's got that fire in his belly πŸ’£. The Giants are struggling and their injuries are piling up πŸ€•. If DeVito can lead the charge, I think they've got this one in the bag πŸŽ‰.

What do you guys think? Are the Patriots gonna blow out the Giants or is it gonna be a closer game? πŸ€”

idk why ppl r so hyped about this game lol Patriots got some key players out so i dont see how they're gonna blow the Giants out πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ and tommy devito's like "oh i loved my time at giants" give me a break dude he was cut from the team 🚫 dey all hate him now πŸ˜’

Umm... I'm not really sure about this one 😐. I mean, Tommy DeVito is definitely hyped for a Patriots win against the Giants, but can he actually deliver? πŸ€” I feel like his stint with the Giants was kinda short and didn't exactly go as planned... πŸ‘€ Did he learn anything from that experience? Should he be trusted to help with game planning now? πŸ˜• But at the same time, it's Monday Night Football - anything can happen, right? πŸŽ‰ And if the Patriots are gonna win, a blowout is probably for the best considering their injuries... πŸ€• But would DeVito really go all out against his old team and risk looking bitter or ungrateful? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

THE PATS ARE GONNA SMASH THE GIANTS!!! I mean, DEVO'S GONNA SHOW THEM WHO'S BOSS!!! HE'S GOT THAT GLOWING REPUTATION FROM HIS TIME WITH THE GIANTS AND NOW HE'S GETTING A CHANCE TO PROVE IT. AND LET'S BE REAL, THE PATS ARE IN A TOUGH SPOT RIGHT NOW WITH ALL THOSE KEY INJURIES. BUT DEVO'S GONNA LEAD THEM TO VICTORY!!!

πŸ€” Monday Night Showdown 🏈
DeVito's stats with the Giants: 8 starts, 2 TDs, 5 INTs πŸ“Š
Pats' chances of beating the Giants: 72% πŸ“ˆ (based on their current team form and injuries)
Giants' injuries this season: 45% of starters are out πŸ€•
Pats' squad is expected to be down 2 key players due to injuries ⚽️
DeVito's playing time in the Patriots' last game: 25 minutes πŸ”₯
New England's defense has been on fire lately, with a 85% pass defense rate 🚫
Giants' offense is struggling, with only 3 touchdowns scored in their last 2 games πŸ“‰

I dont get why Patriots are so sure they gonna beat Giants this week... Tommy DeVito used to be part of Giants but now he just wanna see them lose badly lol 🀣. Coach Mike Vrabel seems a bit skeptical about DeVitos role in the game planning, which I can understand. They got some key players injured and its gonna be tough for them to win. Giants need to step up their game if they wanna have any chance against Patriots. Maybe this is an opportunity for them to prove themselves 🀞

Ugh, Monday night football is gonna be a real blast πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... said no one ever 😴. But for real though, I'm hyped to see the Patriots take down their old team, especially with all those key injuries they're dealing with. Tommy DeVito's "I hope we blow them out" comment had me dying πŸ’€... if only he could actually deliver on that promise 🀞. And poor Mike Vrabel is just trying to manage expectations over here... I guess it's hard to have faith in a team when you've got so many injuries piling up πŸ€•. Still, it's gonna be fun to watch the Giants get thrashed - it's like they're asking for it πŸ˜‚.

DeVito's gonna try to lead the Pats to a thrashing of the Giants... but I gotta say, his track record with the team wasn't exactly stellar 😐. Still, you've got to hand it to him for being optimistic and all that jazz πŸ€—. But Mike Vrabel is right in saying that DeVito's role might be more limited than he lets on πŸ€”. The Pats need a solid game plan if they wanna take down the Giants, especially with key players like Campbell out πŸ’”. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out... and I'm still keeping my expectations low 😐

πŸ€” come on tommy devito can't just say you loved your time with the giants and then expect us to believe you're gonna help the patriots destroy them? πŸ˜‚ i mean what has he done for this team so far? all that trash talk is cute but at the end of the day it's game footage, not street smarts. coach vrbel knows what's up, let's see some real leadership from devito not just empty boasts πŸ™„

man, i feel so bad for tommy devito, dude had some rough time with the giants πŸ€•. but at the same time, it's kinda awesome that he's owning his former team like this πŸ’ͺ. i mean, who wouldn't wanna see their old squad get roasted on monday night? 🀣. and tbh, i think devito's got a legit shot to make some waves for the patriots... but only if coach vrabel lets him πŸ™. and oh man, the giants are in a mess right now ⚠️. those injuries gotta be tough for them πŸ˜”. any way, monday night football is gonna be lit πŸ”₯!

omg u guys i'm literally so excited for monday nights game!! i was at a patriots game last season and i met tommy devito before the game and he's so nice!!! πŸ˜‚ i know some ppl r saying he's not gonna help with game planning but like who cares? he's just gonna bring that energy to the field 🀩 and hopefully they can pull off that blowout win πŸŽ‰ cuz those giants have been struggling all season and it would be epic if the patriots finally beat them πŸ˜‚ especially w/ those injuries on their team rn
