This exhibit was about acknowledging America's dark past and learning from it. It wasn't meant to be a celebration of slavery, but rather an acknowledgment of the painful truth. And now it's gone? 
The Philly city officials are totally right, by the way. Trump is just trying to rewrite history to fit his own agenda.
