Premier League highlights: Chelsea 2-0 Brentford

Chelsea dealt Brentford a painful defeat at Stamford Bridge, handing manager Liam Rosenior his first Premier League victory. The Blues came from behind to secure a 2-0 win, with Cole Palmer's penalty proving the decisive moment.

The Bees had taken control of the match early on, dominating possession and posing problems for the Chelsea defense. Brentford goalkeeper David Raya was having a field day, making several crucial saves to deny his opponents. Despite their dominance, however, Chelsea were unable to find the back of the net until Palmer's penalty in the second half.

The England international's spot kick proved too much for Raya to handle, and he slotted it home with ease. The goal sparked a Chelsea resurgence, as they pushed hard for an equalizer. But Brentford held firm at the other end, and the Blues' pressure eventually told.

With the game now in its final stages, Chelsea's forward line began to find some space, and they capitalized on this by creating several half-chances. It was only a matter of time before they found the back of the net again, and that came when substitute Kai Havertz scored in injury time.

The win marked Rosenior's first Premier League victory as manager, and it will be a major confidence booster for him and his team. Chelsea, meanwhile, moved up to 11th place in the table with the win, while Brentford remain rooted at the bottom of the league after their second consecutive loss.

I gotta say, Brentford's season is really taking a hit right now 🤕. They started off strong but just can't seem to get anything going. I think they're still trying to find their footing in the Premier League, and it's tough when you're up against teams like Chelsea who are so well-established. Their defense was all over the place early on, and it showed that they couldn't handle a high-intensity match. David Raya did his best to keep them in it, but sometimes even the best goalkeeper can only do so much 🤔.

On the other hand, Chelsea's win is definitely a confidence booster for Rosenior and his team 👍. It shows that he's got the skills to adapt and make adjustments on the fly, which is really important in the Premier League where teams are always looking for an edge. And let's be real, Cole Palmer's penalty was a game-changer 😎. I'm curious to see how Brentford regroups and tries to turn their season around - they've got some tough matches coming up, but if they can get it together, they might just be able to pull off something 🤞

I'm telling you, this is the exact reason why I love watching football 🏆... not! Chelsea got lucky on that penalty and had a complete meltdown before the goal was scored. I mean, Cole Palmer's penalty was a game-changer, but at the same time, Brentford should've buried that 2-0 lead from the start 💔. The Bees were absolutely dominating and then just gave away the win... it's mental! 😂

And don't even get me started on Kai Havertz coming off the bench and scoring in injury time – what a convenient timing, right? 🤦‍♂️ But seriously, Brentford is really struggling this season, and Chelsea's only 11th? That's crazy... or not. 😏

🤯 I think Chelsea's win was a great turning point for them, they were getting a bit stagnant and this result should give them some momentum going forward 💪. The way they came from behind to win was impressive, Cole Palmer's penalty was a clutch moment ⚽️. Brentford had them on the ropes early on but just couldn't capitalize 🤦‍♂️. I'm loving Liam Rosenior's confidence boost as manager, he deserves it after that tough start 😊.

I feel bad for Brentford, they played so well but just couldn't get that one goal past Chelsea's defense. David Raya was on fire tho 🤩 his saves were making some amazing blocks! Cole Palmer's penalty was a turning point in the game, it looked like no way out for him after that 😬 and then Kai Havertz pops up late to score... perfect timing as always 💨. It's not all doom and gloom for Brentford though, they've got some talented players on their team so I'm sure Rosenior will get them back on track soon 🙏

Ooh, what's goin' on with Chelsea and Brentford? 🤔 They're strugglin' somethin' fierce out there! I mean, Brentford was dominatin' possession and keepin' it tight in goal, but Chelsea just couldn't seem to find the back of the net. And then Cole Palmer comes along and slots that penalty home like a pro 😎. But you gotta feel for Brentford's keeper, David Raya - he was makin' some top-notch saves out there! 🤩 The thing is, both teams are still strugglin' in the league, but I think this win for Chelsea will give 'em a bit of a confidence boost, and maybe they can start climbIN' up that table soon 🚀
