President Trump Praises Skydance Takeover of Paramount and Bari Weiss Appointment at CBS News in ’60 Minutes’ Interview

US President Donald Trump recently sat down with CBS News' senior correspondent Norah O'Donnell for the network's flagship program "60 Minutes" in their first interview in five years. The 90-minute session covered a wide range of topics, including international politics, economic issues, healthcare, and more.

The president was complimentary about the recent takeover of Paramount by Skydance Media, stating that it marks a positive development in the media landscape. Trump also expressed his support for Bari Weiss' appointment as editor-in-chief of CBS News, calling her "a great person" and saying she is leading a "great enterprise."

However, Trump did not hide his frustration over the fact that CBS was forced to pay him $16 million in a settlement after he filed a lawsuit against the network. He claimed that the network had edited the responses of then-candidate Kamala Harris in a way that damaged him during a 2019 interview.

When questioned about his crypto activities, Trump became evasive, stating only that he wanted to see America's dominance in the field continue. O'Donnell pressed him on the issue of ICE raids, which have sparked controversy across the US, but Trump remained resolute, saying they had not gone far enough and needed to be taken more aggressively.

On the ongoing government shutdown, now entering its 33rd day, Trump insisted that Republicans were voting in unison to end it, while Democrats kept voting against ending it. He claimed this was unprecedented behavior from the Democratic Party and accused them of "crazed lunatics."

The president also discussed a ceasefire in Gaza that he helped broker, disputing O'Donnell's assessment that the situation is fragile. Trump threatened to use force against Hamas terrorists if necessary.

Throughout the interview, O'Donnell probed Trump on various issues, but his responses often took a defensive tone, with him sidestepping specifics and relying on broad assertions of fact. Despite this, some experts have noted that Trump's baseless claims about "60 Minutes" would be easily beaten in court.

omg u guys!! i cant believe whats goin on in the US rn 🤯 trump just sat down for a 90 min interview with norah o'donnell and it was full of drama!!! so he thinks the takeover of paramount by skydance media is a good thing lol like who doesnt love a bit of consolidation in the media space? but seriously tho, hes still all about that crypto life 🤑 and i mean cant even give a straight answer when norah asks him about it. and dont even get me started on the ICE raids 🚫 he thinks they need to be taken more aggressively but whats good for america is good for america, right? 😒 and btw 33 days into a gov shutdown is crazy!!! who thought that was a good idea? 🤷‍♀️

omg you guys i just watched the whole interview with donald trump on 60 minutes 🤯 and i am SHAKEN I mean i already knew he was weird but this is just on another level 😂 he thinks bari weiss is a great person despite all the controversy she's been in and he's still salty about the $16 million settlement from cbs 🤑 anyway he seems to think ice raids are necessary to "keep america safe" 💪 and if you don't agree with him you're just being a "crazed lunatic" 😡 i'm low-key worried about what's going on in our country rn but at the same time i feel like we need to keep holding the ppl in power accountable 🤝

Trump's interview with Norah O'Donnell was pretty meh 🤔. I mean, it's like he's still trying to convince us all of his crazy theories 🙄. Like, come on, $16 million settlement? That's just rich 😂. And don't even get me started on the whole "crazed lunatics" thing - what is that even supposed to mean? 🤯 It's like he's trying to deflect from all the actual issues at hand rather than actually addressing them.

And let's be real, his responses were super evasive on a lot of topics 🙅‍♂️. I'm all for standing up for your views, but when it comes down to it, you gotta have some facts and figures to back 'em up 💯. It's like he's playing this whole "deflect and divert" game, which is just super frustrating.

I do think it's kinda cool that Trump brought up the Paramount takeover though 📺. Maybe it's a sign that he's actually paying attention to some of the bigger issues out there? But until he starts being more honest with us, I'll be skeptical 💁‍♀️.

Trump's interview was 🤯! I mean, he made some good points about the media landscape 📺, but his responses to O'Donnell were kinda 🙄. I don't get why he's still whining about that Kamala Harris interview 🤔. And btw, $16 million is a lot of $$$ 💸. He also seemed super 👊 confident when talking about ICE raids and the government shutdown, but I'm not buying it 😒. It's like, come on, Mr. President, be honest with us 🙏! And can we pls stop playing politics all day? 🤝 Let's focus on the issues instead of being all 🎯 and defensive 💪. Anyway, that ceasefire in Gaza is still a bit 🌌 uncertain, but I hope Trump was right about it 👍!

So Trump is gonna sit down for a big interview and still can't help himself with these conspiracy theories 🤦‍♂️. The guy's gonna try to spin every conversation into some kind of victory lap, even when it comes to something as mundane as Paramount getting sold to Skydance Media. But what really gets me is that he's trying to spin the $16 million settlement like a win for him? Like, come on, Donald, you can't just pay someone off and expect everyone to forget about it 💸.

And don't even get me started on Kamala Harris. The guy's still got some serious grudges against her from 2019, but that's been years ago. Can't he just move on and focus on the present? It's like he's stuck in this never-ending cycle of '60 Minutes' drama 📺.

And what's with his stance on ICE raids? I mean, I get where he's coming from, but is it really necessary to use that kind of language? Can't we just find a way to compromise and work together without resorting to inflammatory rhetoric? It feels like he's more interested in scoring points than actually solving problems 🤔.

Oh, and the ceasefire in Gaza? Yeah, let's see how long that lasts with Trump at the helm 😒. I mean, I'm all for keeping America strong, but we don't need to be waging war on multiple fronts all at once. It's like he's trying to relive his 'America First' days, even if they're not actually working out 🇺🇸.

Anyway, that interview was just another example of Trump's inability to engage in a real conversation without trying to spin everything into his own narrative 💬. And let's be real, some experts are gonna call BS on those claims and he's still gonna deny it 😂.

I'm low-key surprised by Donald Trump's response to the 60 minutes interview 🤔. He still seems so evasive and defensive when it comes to his actions and policies. Like, I get that he's trying to paint himself as a strong leader who isn't afraid to take on tough issues, but honestly, most of what he said just seemed like more of the same old Trump speak 😒.

I mean, come on, dude, you can't seriously be expecting us to believe that you're not behind all those conspiracy theories and fake news stories 🤷‍♂️. And as for your claims about Kamala Harris being edited during that interview, um, isn't that just a little rich coming from the guy who's been accused of spreading misinformation himself? 🙄

And can we talk about how weird it is that you're still whining about the $16 million settlement from CBS News? Like, dude, if you had nothing to hide, why did you even file a lawsuit in the first place? 🤑.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that Trump's response just didn't seem very satisfying or insightful. Maybe he should focus on actually governing and listening to experts instead of just talking trash online 💡.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the 90-minute interview between Trump and Norah O'Donnell 😂. I mean, $16 million settlement? That's just wild. And can we talk about how Trump is always trying to deflect from his own controversies? Like, come on, dude 🙄. He says the Democrats are crazy, but at least they're consistent in their opposition to your policies... or lack thereof 🤷‍♂️.

And don't even get me started on ICE raids 🚫. I'm all for enforcing immigration laws, but this is just a whole different level of scary stuff. Trump's always saying we need to be strong and tough, but at what cost? 💸

I also wonder if O'Donnell's job security is still intact after this interview 🤔. I mean, she's gotta deal with all these... interesting claims from the Prez 😂. And can someone explain to me how a ceasefire in Gaza just magically happened under Trump's leadership? 🤷‍♂️

I guess what I'm saying is that Trump's baseless claims might be easy to fact-check, but they're still pretty concerning 🚨. We need some real accountability here 👊.

Ugh, it's crazy how far we've come since the old days 🤯. Remember when we used to watch 60 minutes and just listen? Now it's all sensationalized and edited for drama 📺. And what's with this Bari Weiss girl? Sounds like a fancy title just to impress people 💁‍♀️. Trump's still got some issues, though - that settlement bill is no joke $16 million, dude 💸. And what's up with these ICE raids? It feels like we're back in the 90s, you know when they had all those checkpoints on I-10 🚨. But, honestly, it's just like how things always get stuck in a loop - government shutdown, same old story ⏰. Can't believe Trump is still trying to spin his own BS as facts 🤥. It's just, you know when 60 minutes used to be so... trustworthy 😒.

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, 90 minutes feels like an eternity for a presidential interview 🕰️. Trump seemed really evasive on his crypto activities and ICE raids - not giving much away at all 🔒. And can we talk about how he keeps trying to discredit the news? Like, come on, settle down, it's just journalism 😬. I don’t know what kind of spin they were going for but I think O'Donnell did a good job keeping him in check 📰. Also, gotta wonder if Trump would be having such a good time if he weren't so used to being the center of attention 🤔.

IM THINKING IT'S WEIRD HOW TRUMP CAN JUST SAY HE'S A GREAT PERSON FOR BARI WEISS BEING EDIT-IN-CHIEF OF CBS NEWS AND NO ONE CALLS HIM OUT ON IT!! IT SOUNDS LIKE HE'S TRYNA CHANGE THE SUBJECT FAST WHEN ASKED ABOUT SOME CONTROVERSY ALREADY!!!

I'm still hyped about the new streaming service from Skydance Media 🚀. I think it's a game-changer for entertainment and will definitely give Netflix a run for their money. And, can we talk about how the media landscape is evolving so fast? It's like, who needs traditional news when you have all these platforms out there? 💻 CBS News' new editor-in-chief Bari Weiss sounds like a solid choice, but I'm curious to see how this whole thing plays out.

Trump's interview with Norah O'Donnell was pretty wild 🤯. I love how passionate he is about his views, but sometimes you just gotta call 'em like you see 'em, right? The whole thing with Kamala Harris and the lawsuit was pretty shady 😒. And can we talk about his stance on ICE raids? It's like, dude, they're a real thing that affects people's lives.

I'm also low-key excited about the possibility of a new tech wave coming from the US 🤖. With the rise of crypto and all these new platforms popping up, it's gonna be interesting to see how this whole space evolves. Trump's comments on it were pretty vague, but I'll give him credit - he's definitely passionate about seeing America dominate in that space 💪.

omg u guyz i just watched trump sit down w/ norah odonnell 4 '60 minits' & its wild lol he thinks hes a genius lol newsflash dont edit ppl u cant get away w/ that Trump also tried 2 deflect from his crypto drama but didnt even bother 2 answer the question lol what's good w/ ICE raids tho idk why hes so extra about it anyway i think its pretty sus how he tries 2 spin stuff like the gov shutdown & ceasefire in Gaza he thinks hes a peace negotiatior or watever lol anywayz at least we got some juicy deets abt his $$$ drama w/ CBS 🤑

Man I'm still trying to process this whole thing 🤯. So Trump just sat down for a 90-minute interview with Norah O'Donnell and it's like he's completely lost touch with reality 😂. The guy is literally making up facts about "60 Minutes" and expecting us to believe him? Come on, Donald! You're not even trying to hide it anymore 🤥.

And what's up with the ICE raids? Dude, you're using that as an excuse to keep playing hardball with Democrats 🚫. And let's be real, the government shutdown is getting ugly fast ⛈️. I'm starting to think we'll never see a end to this anytime soon 🤯.

The fact that he's trying to spin the media landscape takeover like it's some kinda good thing for America? Give me a break 🙄. It's just more proof that he's out of touch with reality 🌎. I'm not sure what's more concerning, his policies or his ability to string together coherent sentences 😂.

I'm surprised by how evasive Trump was when asked about his crypto activities 🤔. You'd think he'd be proud to talk about the success of his investments, but instead, he just wanted to see America dominate the market without getting into details 💸. And those ICE raids? More aggressive is not always better in my opinion 🚫. I mean, can't we find a way to work with people who are struggling and trying to make a living? It's all about finding that balance, you know? 😊

I'm shocked he still can't admit defeat over the $16 million settlement, it's just so out of touch 🤑. And his stance on ICE raids is honestly terrifying, I mean what if we're at war with someone who doesn't want to play by our rules? 🤯 The way he talked about Democrats being "crazed lunatics" is super concerning too, it sounds like he's trying to provoke people into attacking each other 😬.

🤔 I mean, think about it... Donald Trump just sat down for an interview and what did he do? He went all guns blazing on those who disagreed with him 🚫. Like, what's the point of having a conversation if you're not gonna listen to the other person? You can't force someone to agree with you, you gotta be willing to compromise or at least understand where they're coming from 💡.

And then he gets frustrated when people call him out on some of his baseless claims 🙄. That's just not how it works, dude. If you don't have the facts to back up what you're saying, then maybe you shouldn't be saying it in the first place 🤦‍♂️.

It's all about perspective, man. You can either choose to see things from your own point of view and dismiss everyone else's opinions, or you can try to understand where others are coming from and find common ground 🌎. The choice is yours...

I'm tellin' ya, back in my day we didn't have presidents who were so comfortable talkin' trash on live TV 😂. I mean, I know it's just politics, but still, Trump's defensiveness during that interview was a bit much. He's got some big claims about CBS News editin' Kamala Harris' responses, but I'm sure those can be looked into and proven or disproven in court 🤔. And what's with the ICE raids? Can't we just talk about this stuff like civilized humans instead of resortin' to threats and blame-sharin'? 😕

The guy really thought he got away with everything 🙄... I mean, $16 million settlement, yeah sure, who doesn't love a good payout? 💸 And Kamala Harris' edited interview, yeah right, that was some major editing skills on CBS's part 😂. But for real though, Trump's being super shady about ICE raids, like, what's up with that? 🤔 And can we talk about how he thinks he's a hero for helping broker a ceasefire in Gaza... 🙄 it's just not adding up. The guy's all over the place with his answers 🗺️.

I mean, can you believe the guy just admitted to lying about those Kamala Harris edits 🤦‍♂️? I'm still trying to wrap my head around how he thinks he got away with that one. And don't even get me started on his evasive answers about crypto – what's going on there? Is he really that scared of getting called out for it?

I've gotta give him some props, though - the guy's definitely a master of spin. I mean, who else could turn a government shutdown into an "unprecedented behavior" from Democrats 🤣? It's like he's trying to make us forget about all the other stuff he's done... but we're not buying it.

And can we talk about how long this guy's been in office already? 33 days and counting, and things are still pretty much the same. I'm just waiting for someone to shake him out of his bubble... or for him to get impeached 🤷‍♂️ either way.
