OMG u guys , I'm DYING over this new SNL cold open! Colin Jost as Pete Hegseth is HILARIOUS and I love how he completely owns that wrestling persona ! The way he takes the press conference and just goes off script is SO relatable . And can we talk about the shade he throws at Mark Kelly? like, girl's name? but for real though, it's so great to see SNL using satire to poke fun at politics in a lighthearted way, no need to get all serious and divisive . The writers really know how to make you LOL while still making some pointed commentary .

LOL at Pete Hegseth's energy drink tantrum , I'm surprised Colin Jost nailed his impression so well! It's like he really got into character . The segment had me dying when Trump was shown snoozing on stage and calling out Zohran Mamdani... that's just pure comedy genius . I'm loving how the writers kept it real, poking fun at Hegseth's actual comments without going too far . One thing I'd love to see more of is how SNL can tackle these crazy politics moments without getting too serious or preachy . Can't wait for the next episode!

I love how Colin Jost went all in with playing Pete Hegseth's character... he totally nailed it! I mean, that energy drink slam was pure gold . It was hilarious how quickly Hegseth turned the tables and started being a total wild card . The writers did an amazing job of poking fun at the current state of politics without being too over-the-top – you can tell they're trying to keep it light-hearted . Trump's little cameo was just the cherry on top . SNL always manages to make even the most ridiculous situations entertaining .

I also appreciated that the segment didn't take any cheap shots at actual politicians, instead poking fun at Hegseth's... erm... let's call them "creative" diplomatic approaches . And Trump sleeping on stage? Classic SNL!

I think this is so funny! They really went all out with Colin Jost's impression of Pete Hegseth. I love how he completely flipped the script and started acting like a pro wrestler. The way they poked fun at Trump defending Hegseth's comments was spot on, though - that guy can be pretty ridiculous sometimes .

They could've taken it even further with some more absurd scenarios, but I guess that's what makes this so great - it's not too over-the-top or mean-spirited. The writers did a good job of finding the humor in Hegseth's weird personality and translating that into a hilarious sketch.
