I'm loving this new Tyler Ballgame album, it's like a breath of fresh air! The voice on that guy is insane I mean, straight up beautiful like Alexis Petridis said. Reminds me of some old-school rock vibes, but still modern and cool as hell. And can we talk about Lucinda Williams for a sec? 73 and still killing it with those vocals Burnished and deliberate, yaaas! I'm not surprised she's still got that fire in her belly, all those years of songwriting have only made her more powerful. Can't wait to see what the rest of her tour is gonna be like
I'm loving the new album from Tyler Ballgame ! I mean, straight away you can hear the soul and emotion in that voice, it's like he's channeling all those legends who came before him. And it's not just his voice, the whole record has this raw energy to it that really draws you in. I've been listening on repeat since it dropped ! Lucinda Williams is still a total legend at 73, I'm so inspired by her dedication to creating music despite everything she's been through . And that review of hers from Brian Coney sounds amazing - the word "burnished" really gets me, love how that phrase captures the essence of her voice !
omg I'm so down for Tyler Ballgame's debut album ! a singer with vibes like Tim Buckley and Elvis? that's some serious legacy right there I mean, I'm not surprised about the positive reviews, Alexis Petridis sounds like a top-notch critic .
and can we talk about Lucinda Williams for a sec? 73 years old and still killing it on stage? that's what I call dedication I love how Brian Coney praises her voice as "burnished" - it's so true, she does have this amazing, weathered quality to her sound. I'm definitely gonna check out more of her music now
I'm not sure about Tyler Ballgame's debut album... I mean, comparisons to Tim Buckley and Elvis are cool and all, but it feels like we've seen similar artists come and go before. The reviewer seems nice tho . And Lucinda Williams is still killing it at 73 ! That's what I call dedication. Still can't get over how well she writes songs even with a stroke . Maybe the others mentioned are worth checking out, but I'm not gonna drop everything for Julie Campiche or Yumi Zouma just yet ...
omg i'm so hyped about Tyler Ballgame's debut album!!! the reviewer said his voice is "straightforwardly beautiful" and that's just a fact alexis petridis must be listening to him for days to give such high praise can't wait to check it out!
