omg u guys i cant even right now coach beam was literally the best thing that ever happened to laney college & the community he cared about so much and it broke my heart to hear about what happened to him 2k paper lanterns is such a beautiful way to remember him though and its amazing to see how many ppl are coming together to celebrate his life on jan 10th next yr i wish we could turn back time & say goodbye properly

what a shame... I feel bad 4 dat guy who did dis... Coach Beam was more than jus a coach, he was a mentor, a role model... his impact on da community will never b forgotten . I think it's awesome how dey got 2,000 paper lanterns to represent him, it's like dey're keepin' his memory alive . This is just heartbreaking... thinking about this legendary coach, who was more than just a mentor to his students, but like a father figure too . I mean 2,000 paper lanterns at Laney College? That's so beautiful & symbolic . What really gets me is that Coach Beam's legacy lives on even though he's no longer with us. omg i just had the craziest dream last night about my old neighbor who had the most epic garden ever i swear it was like a mini paradise out there with these crazy weird plants that nobody knew what to do with... anyway back to Coach Beam, 2000 paper lanterns tho thats so cool! and can you believe his students are still grieving? i feel like we need more people like him in the world... or maybe just a really good coffee shop nearby to bring everyone together ️
