Qualcomm promises better gaming performance with latest Windows on Snapdragon update

Qualcomm is Finally Delivering on Its Promises for Gaming on Snapdragon Laptops

In a significant boost for owners of Snapdragon X Elite laptops, Qualcomm has announced several updates aimed at improving gaming performance on Windows. The company had previously promised that most x86 games would run smoothly on its Arm chipsets, but those claims were met with skepticism.

However, the latest launch of the Snapdragon Control Panel and other software updates suggests that things are finally looking up for Snapdragon X Elite owners. The control panel, a GPU tool similar to NVIDIA and AMD's offerings, has been revamped to include features such as automatic game detection, per-game settings, and Adreno GPU driver updates.

According to Qualcomm, its drivers have squashed bugs and boosted performance for over 100 games since last year, demonstrating significant progress in the company's efforts to improve gaming on Snapdragon devices. The control panel also offers a more streamlined experience for users, making it easier to manage their games and settings.

Another key update is the support for Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) x86 emulation, which will enable Microsoft's Prism Emulator to run on Qualcomm chips with improved performance. This feature will be particularly beneficial for upcoming Snapdragon X2 Elite laptops, which will offer AVX2 support out of the box.

However, the biggest hurdle in gaming on Snapdragon devices was kernel-level anti-cheat tech, which had previously prevented multiplayer games from working on the platform. However, thanks to Epic Online Services Anti-Cheat support, Fortnite is now available on Snapdragon X Elite laptops, marking a significant milestone for the company's efforts to improve gaming performance.

Qualcomm has also announced that it is working with leading anti-cheat providers, including Tencent and Roblox, to add wider multiplayer support to its platform. With these updates, Snapdragon owners can expect a more seamless gaming experience on their devices, bringing them closer to the capabilities of x86-based Windows laptops.

yeah i was skeptical about this too, but it looks like qualcomm is finally getting its act together ๐Ÿค”. 100+ games boosted in performance since last year? that's not bad. but what about all those other games that are still stuck on ancient hardware? and don't even get me started on those kernel-level anti-cheat tech issues... it'll be a while before i can trust these updates ๐Ÿ™„. plus, what about the price point for these new x2 elite laptops? gonna break the bank, probs ๐Ÿ˜’.

Ugh I'm so over the whole "gaming on snapdragon" thing ๐Ÿคช. I mean, it's about time Qualcomm stepped up its game (pun intended) but I still think it's gonna be a hard sell for most people. I mean, we're talking about laptops that are basically half the power of regular windows laptops... I just don't see it being viable for anyone except maybe hardcore gamers who wanna play their console games on the go ๐Ÿ“Š. And even then, I'm not sure they'll be able to get the same level of performance as a regular laptop. Still, kudos to Qualcomm for trying and all ๐Ÿ’ฏ

OMG u guys!! ๐Ÿคฉ Qualcomm is finally deliverin on its promises for gaming on Snapdragon Laptops!!! ๐Ÿ˜ theyve been workin hard 2 improve perfomance & add more features 2 their control panel, which is like a GPU tool similar 2 nvidia/AMD's stuff. they claim 2 have squashed bugs & boosted perfomance 4 over 100 games since last year! ๐Ÿ“ˆ wot's even better is that theyve got Epic Online Services Anti-Cheat support now, so Fortnite can run on Snapdragon X Elite laptops ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ’ป wut's next? hopefully more multiplayer games will be available soon ๐Ÿคž

I'm so glad Qualcomm is finally delivering on its promises for gaming on Snapdragon laptops ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ’ป I mean, it's about time we saw some progress from this tech giant! The updates they're pushing out now are seriously impressive - that GPU tool sounds like a total game-changer (no pun intended) ๐Ÿ˜‚. And to see Fortnite working on these laptops? That's just amazing for the gaming community ๐Ÿคฉ.

But what I'm most excited about is how these updates will benefit our kids who love playing games on their devices ๐Ÿ“š. As a parent, it's always a worry that they'll be stuck with limited options or have to deal with frustrating lag and glitches. But now, thanks to Qualcomm's efforts, we can expect a much smoother gaming experience for them, which is just the best feeling ๐Ÿ˜Š.

I do hope these updates will trickle down to other devices soon too, because let's face it - the gaming community isn't going anywhere anytime soon ๐Ÿคช. Bring on those Snapdragon X2 Elite laptops and watch out world, gaming is about to get a whole lot better! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

So Qualcomm's finally delivering on those promises they made last year about gaming on Snapdragon laptops ๐Ÿ˜Š. I mean, 100 games that run smoothly is no joke! The new control panel update looks super smooth and intuitive - I can already imagine how easy it'll be to manage settings for all my favorite games.

AVX emulation support is a game-changer (pun intended) for upcoming Snapdragon X2 Elite laptops ๐Ÿคฉ. It's about time we see some serious performance boosts on these devices. But, I gotta ask, what took Qualcomm so long to get there? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I'm also excited to see Fortnite working on Snapdragon X Elite laptops - that's a huge milestone! And the fact that they're working with Tencent and Roblox to add multiplayer support is huge ๐Ÿค. Can't wait to jump into some online gaming sessions on my laptop ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

But, I gotta wonder... how long before we see more exclusive titles released for Snapdragon devices? The x86-based Windows laptops have had a stranglehold on the gaming market for ages, and it's time someone shook things up ๐Ÿ’ฅ.

I'm so glad Qualcomm is finally living up to their promises for gaming on Snapdragon Laptops ๐Ÿ™Œ! I mean, 100 games that work smoothly? That's some serious progress ๐Ÿ’ช. And Fortnite on Snapdragon X Elite laptops? That's a huge deal! It just goes to show that with the right tech and partnerships, even the most skeptical people can be won over ๐Ÿ˜Š.

But you know what really gets me excited? The fact that Qualcomm is working with big names like Tencent and Roblox to improve multiplayer support ๐Ÿค. I mean, who wouldn't want to play Fortnite or Roblox on their laptop without any lag or issues? It's like the perfect gaming experience! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I'm not getting any younger, but it's awesome to see tech companies pushing the boundaries of what's possible ๐Ÿ’ป. And hey, if Snapdragon owners can enjoy games like they would on a regular Windows laptop, that's just the icing on the cake ๐Ÿฐ!

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ finally! Qualcomm's been promising us that their Arm chips could handle x86 games and it looks like they're actually making progress ๐Ÿ“ˆ. The new Snapdragon Control Panel is a big deal, I mean who doesn't love tweaking GPU settings and whatnot? ๐Ÿ˜œ It's about time those 100+ games started running smoothly too. And yay for Fortnite on Snapdragon! That was the game that showed them they could do it ๐Ÿ’ฅ. Now let's see how this all pans out in practice and if these updates really make gaming on Snapdragon laptops feel like a decent experience ๐Ÿค”

omg I'm so surprised Qualcomm is finally delivering on their promises for gaming on Snapdragon Laptops lol they had it in for like 2 years now and ppl were skeptical ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ anyway its cool that they revamped the control panel with auto game detection and adreno gpu driver updates that's definitely a step in the right direction. also yay for Fortnite finally working on Snapdragon X Elite laptops ๐Ÿ‘ but seriously tho whats taken them this long to get it together? maybe the progress is slow but at least they're trying now ๐Ÿ’ช
