I don't know how some ppl think this is a good idea . First of all, R360 wants to take talent from PWR which already has top players? That's gonna hurt the game . And what about the clubs that can't compete with those big teams? They'll just get left behind . I'm not sure how much more disruption this competition needs before ppl start talking about its impact on club rugby as a whole .
I don't get why they gotta make this new competition . I mean, it sounds like it's just gonna suck talent away from my favorite club . And what's up with them saying anyone can come back after 10 years? That doesn't sound right to me . If you're just gonna create a "rival" platform, why not make it fair and don't mess with the people who already play the game? It seems like they're just trying to make some cash without caring about the actual sport . And what's the point of having a 10-year ban if anyone can just join again after that? Sounds like a weak attempt to keep things "fair" .
OMG u guys I just read this article about Michelle Orange from Sale Rugby Club she's literally so worried about R360 taking over Premiership club rugby I feel her though, I've been on the receiving end of that pirate recruitment model in my own sports teams and it's super frustrating. Like anyone can make promises but fail to deliver The women's game is especially vulnerable if R360 attracts all those high-profile players it could decimate PWR for sure And 10-year ban on recruits returning to rugby league in Australia sounds like a solid plan to me At least Michelle Orange is speaking up about this and I think the sports community needs more voices like hers advocating for responsible governance
idk why r360 even bothers trying like they think just slapping a fancy name on it gonna make a diff... Newsflash: if you wanna disrupt the sport, do it right, don't just slap some rules together and hope for the best . And seriously, a 10-year ban? that's cute . Orange's got some valid points tho, especially about the women's game... it's not like r360 is gonna magically make PWR more competitive, they're still just trying to fill seats . can't wait to see how this whole thing plays out
omg this is getting too much like what even is the point of R360? just gonna take talent from other clubs and exploit it for profit? no way, Michelle Orange is speaking truth Premiership club rugby needs to stay strong and not be undercut by some new competition. and btw, why do they need a 10-year ban on R360 recruits returning to rugby league in Australia? seems like just an excuse to stifle the competition
I think Michelle Orange is being super reasonable . I mean, if she doesn't want her team to be used as a feeder club for some big competition, who can blame her? It's not like it's gonna hurt anyone... but then again, what if R360 does become this huge thing and all the top teams are in on it? Then wouldn't that be unfair to the smaller clubs like hers? I'm all for innovation and competition, but at what cost? Maybe we should just take a step back and think about how we want to grow the sport. All this talk of 'pirate' competitions makes me wonder if anyone's really thinking about the long game
