In a surprise move, Rockstar Games is set to bring its iconic western open-world game 'Red Dead Redemption' to mobile devices exclusively for Netflix subscribers. The highly-anticipated release is expected to hit iOS and Android devices on December 4, allowing users to enjoy the critically-acclaimed experience on-the-go.

According to prolific news source Wario64, who uncovered the information, the game will be free-to-play, making it accessible to a wider audience. Interestingly, the mobile version of 'Red Dead Redemption' will include the popular zombie-centric DLC 'Undead Nightmare'.

Meanwhile, an ESRB website has revealed release dates for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2, confirming that the game is indeed heading to current-gen platforms on December 2. The news comes as a welcome update, as the original 'Red Dead Redemption' from 2010 was previously only available on previous-generation consoles like the PS4.

It's worth noting that this is not the sequel to 'Red Dead Redemption', but rather the original game that started it all. Despite not quite reaching the heights of its successor 'Red Dead Redemption 2', the classic title remains a great gaming experience in its own right.

I'm hyped about this news, but I gotta say, it's still weird that they're releasing an old game on Netflix for mobile 🤔. Like, isn't that just re-releasing something we already own? 🤠 just think about it, classic red dead redemption is coming to mobile and its free... that's awesome news for old folks like me who can't keep up with the latest consoles anymore 😂. i remember playing the original back in 2010 on my ps3 and it was an incredible experience. bringing this game to the masses on a device thats almost everyone carries around is genius. plus, getting the undead nightmare dlc is a nice touch 🎮. its also interesting to see netflix and rockstar teaming up again... they should do more of these kinds of deals, it would be great for gamers who want to play their favorite games on-the-go 💻.
