'Repatriate the gold': German economists advise withdrawal from US vaults

I don’t usually comment but... storing €164 billion worth of gold in a vault owned by someone who’s known for being super unpredictable is just crazy 🤯. I mean, you can’t put all your eggs in one basket, right? And Trump's been making some pretty rash decisions lately, so it's hard to rule out the possibility that he might try to use Germany's gold reserves for his own gain 💸.

I know some people are worried about the safety of their gold reserves, but I think it's more likely that they'll just find another safe place to store them. I mean, Germany's got a lot of money and resources, so it's not like they need to put all their eggs in one basket 🙄.

But at the same time, I can understand why some people would want to repatriate their gold reserves. It's just good sense, you know? And if Germany's worried about being tied to the US, then maybe they should start looking into other safe haven options 💰.
