Revealed: the crypto entrepreneur linked to illegal weight-loss drug operation

A crypto entrepreneur is at the centre of a major operation to sell unlicensed weight loss drugs. The illicit operation, which was shut down by law enforcement in October, was said to be the world's largest of its kind. Thousands of Alluvi-branded pens were seized along with raw chemicals, manufacturing equipment and ยฃ20,000 in cash.

Alluvi's website remains active, attracting thousands of daily orders, while the industrial estate where the operation was based has been shut down. However, production is believed to have shifted elsewhere.

Fasial Tariq, a Northampton-based entrepreneur, has been linked to the operation through documents and testimony from sources familiar with the illicit weight loss trade. He is listed as director of Wholesale Supplements Limited, the company that registered the unit where the operation was based.

Photographs reviewed by The Guardian show customer orders for Alluvi products were sold through a website trading as Ecommerce Nutri Collectiv. This site later lost its payment provider after Stripe terminated its services. Companies House records show Ecommerce Nutri Collectiv Limited has previously shared a registered address with Vantage Commercials Group Limited, a company once run by Tariq.

Paradox Labs, the brand behind Alluvi, was previously known as Paradox Studio, a cryptocurrency venture founded by Tariq. The site claims it offers products that can help people lose weight but attracts accusations of being a scam from online critics.

The illicit operation highlights a widening gap between enforcement and legislation in the growing weight loss industry. Regulators struggle to keep pace with new substances, social media-driven sales, and fragmented online supply chains.

Academics warn that complaints-led regulation moves too slowly, often resulting in a slap on the wrist for those behind such operations. Medical experts have warned of the risks associated with unregulated injectable drugs, including severe infections, pancreatitis, cardiovascular complications, and dangerous blood-sugar fluctuations.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has confirmed that no arrests have been made in relation to Northampton, but an investigation is ongoing.

I'm telling you, this Alluvi thing is just the tip of the iceberg ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’‰. I mean, think about it - a crypto entrepreneur gets into weight loss meds and suddenly thousands are getting hooked? That's some serious money being made here ๐Ÿ’ธ. And what really catches my eye is how easily their website was able to stay online despite all this going down ๐Ÿ”’. It's like they knew exactly what they were doing. And have you noticed that Paradox Labs is just a rebranded crypto venture? Sounds fishy to me ๐ŸŸ. The whole thing stinks of a massive cover-up, if you ask me...

Ugh, can't believe those "entrepreneurs" think they can just set up shop like this ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Like, thousands of people getting scammed on some dodgy weight loss meds... what's the harm, right? ๐Ÿ˜’ I mean, who doesn't love a good scam, am I right? ๐Ÿ’ธ Anyway, glad someone's finally taking action (or at least trying to). The MHRA needs to step it up and get those behind this operation held accountable. And can we please just get rid of all these shady websites and online shops? It's like they're not even trying to hide anymore ๐Ÿ™„.

๐Ÿšจ The crypto space is literally breeding grounds for illicit activities. I mean, who needs legit business when you can just set up a fake operation and fly under the radar? Fasial Tariq's thing with Alluvi-branded pens is like something out of a bad spy novel โ€“ thousands of daily orders on an active website while he's dodging law enforcement? It's wild to think that there are people making millions off these sketchy products, all while the authorities are trying to keep up.

It's also super concerning that Paradox Labs was basically a cryptocurrency venture turned weight loss scam. The fact that it's still operational and attracting customers is a huge red flag. I'm not surprised that online critics have been crying foul โ€“ who wouldn't be wary of products promising quick fixes for weight loss?

The thing is, these operations are like whack-a-mole โ€“ shut one down and another pops up. It highlights the need for better legislation and enforcement in this industry. The regulators just can't keep up with the speed and complexity of online sales and supply chains. And don't even get me started on the risks associated with unregulated injectable drugs... ๐Ÿคข

ugh this is like soooo messed up!!!!!! ๐Ÿคฏ the fact that people are making money off these fake weight loss products is just disgusting ๐Ÿ’ธ and the regulators are too slow to catch up ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ i mean what's the point of even having laws if they're not being enforced ๐Ÿ˜’ meanwhile these entrepreneurs are just laughing all the way to the bank while innocent people are getting hurt by these toxic substances ๐Ÿคข

and don't even get me started on the fact that the website is still active and people are still ordering these products like nothing's wrong ๐Ÿšซ it's like they're not listening to the experts warning about the risks ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ or maybe they just don't care ๐Ÿ˜”

i'm literally shaking with rage right now ๐Ÿ’ฅ because this is just so unfair to everyone involved ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ especially those who are already struggling with their health and wellbeing ๐Ÿ’ช we need more action from our authorities to shut down these operations for good ๐Ÿ”’

I'm not surprised about this alluvi thing ๐Ÿค”, I mean we've seen it before in the crypto space. The fact that Fasial Tariq's Paradox Labs was a crypto venture doesn't necessarily make him legit tho ๐Ÿ’ธ. And with Alluvi being sold through a website that just lost its payment provider, it's clear there are some shady characters involved ๐Ÿคฅ. I'm all for regulation and safety when it comes to these kinds of products, but sometimes the laws just aren't keeping up ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ. The fact that Academics say complaints-led regulation moves too slowly is a bit concerning tho ๐Ÿ™. The MHRA needs to step up their game and get some actual arrests made ๐Ÿ’ช. We can't keep letting these guys get away with putting people's lives at risk ๐Ÿ’”.

"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." ๐Ÿ˜• The weight loss industry's lack of regulation is a classic case of this quote coming true. The fact that Fasial Tariq was able to operate such a massive illicit operation for so long, and the authorities still haven't taken action, shows that there's still work to be done in ensuring the growth of this industry doesn't come at the expense of public safety. It's like they say: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." ๐Ÿค‘

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ธ I'm telling ya, this crypto entrepreneur Fasial Tariq is a master manipulator ๐Ÿคฏ. He's got these companies linked together like a big ol' web ๐Ÿ’ก. Ecommerce Nutri Collectiv, Wholesale Supplements Limited... it's all connected, folks! ๐Ÿ”— And now we're talking about the website Alluvi-branded pens being seized and ยฃ20k in cash ๐Ÿ’ธ - that's some serious cash ๐Ÿ’ธ.

And what really gets me is the regulator struggle ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. We need stricter laws and enforcement ๐Ÿ’ช. I mean, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is saying no arrests have been made yet, but an investigation is ongoing ๐Ÿ”. That's like, basic stuff, right? ๐Ÿ™„.

We can't just rely on complaints to get rid of these scammers ๐Ÿคฅ. We need real action ๐Ÿ’ช. I'm calling for some serious changes in this weight loss industry ๐Ÿšจ. Time to step up the regulation game โฐ!

idk about this... I mean, like, if someone's making alluvi-branded pens and selling them online, shouldn't they just get a legit license or something? ๐Ÿค” But at the same time, I'm also thinking that maybe we're too quick to crack down on these guys without considering all the factors... like what if they're really helping people lose weight but getting shut down by the law? ๐Ÿ’ธ

I know some people are gonna say "but wait, it's illegal and can kill you!" and I get it, but like, isn't that just a slippery slope where we start regulating everything to death? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ And what about all the legit companies out there trying to make a difference in the health industry? shouldn't they be allowed to do their thing too?

I'm also kinda curious... if these guys are making ยฃ20,000 in cash, how's that even possible? is it like some kind of underground economy or something? ๐Ÿค‘

Ugh, can't believe how this operation went undetected for so long ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. The website still active? Like, what's the point of even having a shutdown if they're just gonna move production elsewhere and keep selling these dodgy weight loss pills ๐Ÿ’ธ. And ยฃ20k in cash just chillin' there... It's crazy how lax the authorities are when it comes to something like this ๐Ÿšจ. And don't even get me started on the lack of regulation in this industry - it's like a Wild West out there ๐Ÿค . Can't trust anything online anymore, if you ask me ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

OMG, I'm like super worried about these weight loss pills ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, I've seen alluvi stuff online and it looks legit, but now I know it's just a scam ๐Ÿ’ธ. Thousands of people buying it without even knowing what they're getting into is crazy ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. And the fact that it's still selling on some website after law enforcement shut down the operation? That's just not right ๐Ÿ˜’.

I'm no expert, but I've heard those things can cause serious health problems like pancreatitis or infections ๐Ÿคข. The government needs to step up its game and make sure these companies are held accountable ๐Ÿ’ช. It's not fair that they're just letting it slide because people are complaining ๐Ÿ™„. We need stricter regulations so we can trust what we're buying online ๐Ÿ‘.

just read about this crypto entrepreneur who was running a massive weight loss scam ๐Ÿค‘ he's got some serious nerve setting up an operation like that and making ยฃ20k in cash while risking people's health - it's just wild how easy it is for them to keep flying under the radar ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

anyway, this highlights how bad regulation can be when it comes to something as complex as online pharmacies - i mean, we need better checks and balances so that companies like this don't get away with selling dodgy stuff ๐Ÿ’ธ

๐Ÿคฏ this is so wild the fact that thousands of these pens were being sold online and no one really knew they were unlicensed or even what was inside them ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ it's crazy how some people can get away with selling these kinds of products, especially when there are real people putting their health at risk ๐Ÿ’” from what i've seen, the weight loss industry is so vast that regulators just can't keep up, maybe they need to find a way to make it more transparent? ๐Ÿค

omg u guys the weight loss industry is literally a hot mess ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿคฏ like who lets unlicensed meds get sold online idk but it's so not okay ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ all these ppl r getting hurt from these scams & we should be doing more to stop this ๐Ÿ’” fasial tariq is basically the mastermind behind alluvi and paradox labs ๐Ÿค“ i cant believe he got away with so much money ๐Ÿค‘ ยฃ20k is insane but its nothing compared to all the people who will get seriously sick from these meds ๐Ÿ’‰ medical experts r warning about severe infections, pancreatitis, heart problems & blood sugar fluctuations ๐Ÿšจ it's not just about the law enforcement struggling to keep up it's about ppl getting hurt ๐Ÿ’” we need better regulation and more transparency in this industry ASAP ๐Ÿ‘€

Ugh, this is soooo not cool ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ธ! Like, who gets caught selling fake weight loss meds? Fasial Tariq is a total bust ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜’, and it's crazy how Alluvi-branded pens were all over the place ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‘€. I mean, we need to be careful what we put in our bodies, you know? ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ’Š It's wild that customers are still ordering from their site ๐Ÿ“ˆ, even after getting burned by Stripe ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ธ.

This whole thing is like a big ol' warning sign ๐Ÿ”’๐Ÿšจ. We need better regulations in the weight loss industry โš–๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช, and we need them now! ๐Ÿ’ฅ It's not fair to these customers who got scammed ๐Ÿ’”, and it's just plain irresponsible of Tariq and co ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Let's hope the authorities catch up with these folks ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ and bring some real justice ๐Ÿ”’๐Ÿ‘ฎ. We need more awareness about this stuff ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ก, so we can all stay safe ๐Ÿ’•!

๐Ÿšจ This whole thing just blows my mind ๐Ÿ’ฅ You've got these so-called "entrepreneurs" making millions off people's desperation for weight loss solutions and then getting caught red-handed with raw chemicals and no licenses ๐Ÿคฏ What's the point of even having laws if nobody cares about enforcing them? ๐Ÿ’ธ It's like they're making money hand over fist off people's health issues ๐ŸŒŸ

OMG I'm like totally shocked that this guy Fasial Tariq was able to get away with such a massive operation ๐Ÿคฏ. Like how can one person just start selling these weight loss drugs online without anyone noticing? And it's crazy that his company had connections with other shady companies too ๐Ÿค‘.

I feel bad for the people who got scammed by Alluvi, they're like totally taking advantage of them ๐Ÿ˜”. And medical experts are warning us about the risks of these unregulated injectable drugs, but what can be done? It's like the law enforcement is playing catch up ๐Ÿšจ.

It's just not fair that these people get to make money off of people's desperation for weight loss, and then hide behind online anonymity ๐Ÿ’”. The fact that Alluvi's website still has thousands of daily orders is wild ๐Ÿคฏ. Like how can anyone trust a site like that? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I'm totally fine with people making a ton of cash from shady weight loss stuff . Like, if it's not hurting anyone, who cares? The world's largest operation getting shut down just shows how hard it is for authorities to keep up with the internet. It's all about the customer demand, bro ๐Ÿค‘

omg this is wild ๐Ÿคฏ i mean who would've thought the crypto world was also into fake weight loss scams ๐Ÿ˜‚ fam alluvi's website still live tho like they're trying to fly under the radar ๐Ÿ’ธ anyway imo stricter laws are needed in this industry, we can't just let companies like this run amok and put people's health on the line ๐Ÿ’Š
