Rivian made an electric ambulance for Grey's Anatomy

Rivian has partnered with Grey's Anatomy to create a custom electric ambulance for the long-running medical drama series. The unique vehicle, dubbed the "vanbulance," is a modified version of Rivian's Commercial Van, designed to serve two purposes: to provide a safe and emission-free environment on set while also incorporating a green storyline.

The custom ambulance features rear double doors instead of a roll-up one, allowing for easier access and more flexibility during filming. Its walls and roof panels are removable, enabling cameras to reach the required angles for interior shots. Additional modifications include custom lighting, an exterior wrap reading "Seattle Emergency Response Services," and a side entry to the cargo area.

Rivian worked closely with the Huntington Beach Fire Department and the Los Angeles Fire Department to inform the interior layout of the ambulance, ensuring that it met the specific needs of first responders. The company emphasizes that the elimination of engine noise brought a welcome quiet while cameras were rolling, creating an ideal environment for capturing high-quality footage.

The electric ambulance made its debut in the November 13 episode of Grey's Anatomy and was featured more prominently in a recent episode. Rivian chose this week to highlight their partnership with the show, demonstrating the growing trend of Hollywood productions embracing environmentally friendly technologies.

I'm so stoked that Rivian is teaming up with Grey's Anatomy to create an eco-friendly ambulance ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’š! It's awesome to see a major TV production like this investing in sustainable tech - it sets a great example for the film industry as a whole. I mean, can you imagine how cool it must be to work on a show that not only makes great drama but also promotes green living? ๐Ÿ˜Š And who knows, maybe this custom van will inspire more productions to make the switch to electric vehicles! ๐Ÿ’š Let's keep encouraging innovations like this - they're making a real difference ๐ŸŒŸ

I think it's super cool that Rivian partnered with Grey's Anatomy to create an eco-friendly ambulance ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ’š! It's awesome they incorporated green features into a production that needs something like that - especially on set where you can't afford to mess around. I mean, imagine all the shots they could get with those removable walls and roof panels - it opens up so much creative possibilities for filmmakers. And I love how Rivian worked closely with the fire departments to make sure the interior layout was spot on. It just goes to show that innovation and sustainability can come together in really cool ways ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ก

I gotta say, I'm not buying it ๐Ÿค”. An ambulance that doubles as an eco-friendly set prop? It sounds like a marketing gimmick to me ๐Ÿ“ฆ. I mean, what's next? Electric wheelchairs for hospital scenes? ๐Ÿšบโ€โ™€๏ธ Let's be real, the greenwashing is on point here ๐Ÿ˜’. But hey, if it gets people excited about electric vehicles, then I'm all for it ๐Ÿ’š... just don't expect me to start streaming Grey's Anatomy just because of a fancy ambulance ๐Ÿ“บ.

I'm still trying to get over how weird it is that they're making an ambulance for a TV show lol ๐Ÿคฃ I mean, back in my day, we didn't even have fancy ambulances, let alone ones with electric motors! Remember those old-school ambulances from Grey's Anatomy's early seasons? They were so outdated. Anyway, I'm glad to see Rivian and the show getting on board with eco-friendliness, it's about time, right? ๐ŸŒŽ And can you imagine how cool it must be for the actors to film in an ambulance that's basically a silent machine? No more pesky engine noise to deal with! It's just wild thinking about how far tech has come.

OMG, I'm so stoked to see a major film crew like Grey's Anatomy go all out for an eco-friendly ride ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’š! That vanbulance is giving me all the sustainable vibes ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ. I can only imagine how much quieter it must be on set with that electric motor - genius move, Rivian ๐Ÿคฉ. Plus, having a side entry and removable panels is just so cool (pun intended) ๐ŸŽฅ. It's awesome to see Hollywood productions starting to get on board with green technologies, and I'm all about supporting that ๐Ÿ‘. Can't wait to see more innovative eco-friendly sets in the future ๐ŸŒŸ!

Ugh ๐Ÿค•, just saw that the Amazon River has been contaminated by oil spills again ๐ŸŒŠ๐Ÿ˜ท, it's like they can't even protect their own waterways... and now I'm supposed to be all happy about an electric ambulance in a TV show? ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ“บ, seriously, what's next? ๐Ÿคฏ
