Running the rails: Brooklyn man finishes quest to jog along every NYC subway line

Thai Richards Completes Epic Subway Run Spanning NYC's Entire Subway System

In a feat of endurance and determination, 35-year-old Thai Richards has become the first person to run alongside every single subway line in New York City. The Brooklyn native, who is also an ultra-marathon runner, set out two years ago with the ambitious goal to explore his hometown and document the journey on social media.

Richards' journey began with a run along the A train in the fall of 2023, covering nearly 34 miles from Inwood to the Rockaways. He then followed the F train for about 27 miles through Manhattan before tackling another line every month or so. His perseverance paid off on Tuesday night when he completed the final leg of his journey, running 23 miles next to the 4 train in the pouring rain from Woodlawn in the Bronx all the way to Crown Heights, where he grew up.

Richards' approach was anything but serious. He ran through Yankee Stadium in a Yankees jersey, shorts, and three gold chains, stopping frequently to drink beer along the way and documenting his progress on social media. "When you come from such a city with such a great magnitude, how could you not hold some type of pride?" he declared.

The journey has given Richards a unique perspective on NYC's history, allowing him to share train facts with his followers. He even shared tidbits about the city's changing neighborhoods and the evolution of its subway system. "Growing up in Brooklyn, I've seen just how much my neighborhood changed dramatically," Richards said. "History helps us understand so much of where we are now."

As he crossed Eastern Parkway toward the 4 train's terminal at Utica Avenue, there was no crowd to celebrate with him, but Richards didn't miss an opportunity to record a victory video for his thousands of social media followers. With that, he declared, "MTA, I ran you all – from the Bronx to Brooklyn."

omg u gotta see this lol! πŸ˜‚ thai richards just ran the entire nyc subway system and its crazy 🀯 like 34 miles on the A train alone! i'm lowkey jealous πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ he even wore a yanks jersey and drank beer while running πŸΊπŸ‘• how's that for dedication? πŸ™Œ Richards is actually kinda famous now 🀣 and people are loving his chill vibe πŸ‘

anyway, its dope to see someone explore their hometown like that πŸ’ͺ and Richards' social media posts are giving me all the history facts πŸ“š did u know the subway system has changed so much since he grew up? πŸ€” NYC is literally a city of endless surprises 😲

Yooo, can u believe this dude Thai Richards just crushed running through every subway line in NYC? 🀯 He's literally like a superhero, but instead of cape, he's rocking a Yankees jersey and three gold chains πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ˜Ž. I'm loving how casual and fun he kept the whole thing, documenting his progress on social media and stopping to grab beer along the way 🍺. It's dope that he got to share some train facts and history with his followers, and I can only imagine the unique perspective he must have gained from running through all those different neighborhoods. The final stretch in the pouring rain though πŸ˜‚? That's dedication for ya! MTA should give him a key πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯, congrats Thai on this epic achievement πŸŽ‰

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ You know what's wild about Thai Richards' epic subway run? It's not just about being super fit or having a crazy amount of time on his hands... it's actually a great reminder that our lives are full of 'routes' and 'lines' we need to navigate πŸ—ΊοΈ. Just like how he had to cover every single subway line in NYC, we all have different paths to follow in life, and sometimes we need to take the scenic route or make unexpected turns πŸ”„.

The thing is, Richards didn't start his journey with a grand plan – he just started running (literally!) from where he was at πŸ˜…. And that's kinda like how life works, right? We don't always know what's gonna come next, but we can always take the first step and see where it takes us πŸ’¨.

Anyway, kudos to Richards for showing us that even the craziest ideas can become something amazing with determination and a willingness to learn πŸŽ‰!

πŸš‚πŸ’¨ I gotta say, Thai Richards' subway run is insane! Like, I get it, running 4 trains in a row can be tough, but man, that dude's dedication is crazy. He's not just a runner, he's an explorer and documentarian too πŸ“Έ. And I love how he's sharing all these fun facts about the subways with his followers - it's like having a personal tour guide for NYC! 😊 Of course, some people might say it's a bit silly running in a Yankees jersey and three gold chains, but hey, if it gets the point across that he loves his city, who cares? πŸ‘ He deserves a big round of applause for completing this epic challenge πŸŽ‰.

Wow, this guy is crazy! 🀯 I mean in a good way, lol. Like, who runs alongside every subway line? Only someone with a ton of time and energy on their hands. But hey, it's awesome that he got to explore NYC like that. He's got some cool stories to share about the city's history and neighborhoods too. I wonder if he's gonna write a book or something. And dude's approach is all about having fun, drinking beer along the way... I wouldn't wanna run with 3 gold chains on though πŸ˜‚. But seriously, it's a pretty epic achievement, even if he did have to deal with rain and all that.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’ͺ OMG just read about Thai Richards' epic subway run and I'm SHAKEN! 🀯 He literally ran EVERY SINGLE SUBWAY LINE in NYC πŸ—½οΈ. Two years of planning, training, and documenting his journey on social media...talk about dedication πŸ’β€β™€οΈ. I love how he made it a fun adventure with beer breaks and Yankees gear πŸ˜‚. And can we talk about the history lessons he shared along the way? πŸ“š He's not only an ultra-marathon runner but also a walking encyclopedia of NYC facts πŸ€“. What an amazing achievement for this Brooklyn native! πŸ™Œ I'm living vicariously through his journey, and I'm sure his social media followers are too πŸ“±.

Just think about it, 35 miles, day in and day out, rain or shine... that's dedication πŸ’ͺ! And yeah, who wouldn't be proud of running through Yankee Stadium? πŸ˜‚ Tha Richards is a true NYC trailblazer πŸš‚. I'm curious, have you guys ever considered trying something crazy like this? Would you want to document your journey on social media too? πŸ“Έ What's the craziest thing you've ever done just for fun? πŸ€”

just when i thought nyc couldn't get any cooler 🀩, thai richards runs through EVERY SUBWAY LINE πŸš‚πŸ‘ what a dedication tho 2 years of non-stop runnin' and he still manages to share some dope facts about nyc's history πŸ“šπŸ—ΊοΈ i mean who needs tourist guides when you got thai richards? 😎 plus, the pics of him rockin' his yankees gear at yankee stadium are πŸ”₯ goals for me 🀣 congrats to him on makin' this epic journey! πŸ‘

πŸš‚πŸ’¨ Wow, 35 miles in the pouring rain? Thai Richards is mental πŸ˜‚! But seriously, I think it's awesome how he documented his journey on social media and shared some cool facts about NYC's history. It's amazing how much you can learn about a city just by running alongside its subway lines. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to run through Yankee Stadium in a Yankees jersey? πŸ˜‚ The fact that he even stopped to drink beer along the way shows he knows how to have fun and make the most of his adventure. I'm curious to see what kind of videos he'll post next – maybe a subway system tour or something? πŸŽ₯

just watched this crazy vid of Thai Richards finish runnin' every subway line in NYC πŸš‚πŸ’¨ what's even crazier is he did it 2 yrs ago & was still goin thru each line like they were his personal playground πŸ˜‚πŸΊ i mean, that's dedication! love how he just goes with the flow, shares fun facts & records his journey on social media - like a Brooklynite trying to keep up w/ city life πŸ“ΈπŸ’ͺ what really gets me is how much history & perspective he gained from this run - kinda blows my mind thinkin' about all those neighborhoods changin' over time πŸŒ†

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ This dude Thai Richards is literally running circles around us. I mean, 34 miles in one go? That's insane! 🀯 But what I think is even more inspiring is his attitude towards life. He didn't take this run seriously at all, and it shows how much he enjoys the ride (pun intended). He stopped to drink beer, wore a Yankees jersey... that's not how most of us would approach a monumental task like running through every subway line in NYC 🀣.

But for real though, Richards' journey has given him a unique perspective on history. He shares facts and stories about the city, its neighborhoods, and even its trains. That's what I love about this story - it's not just about one person achieving something incredible, it's also about the impact that experience can have on us. It made me think about my own life, and how sometimes we need to take a step back, enjoy the journey (or in Richards' case, run through the subway), and appreciate the little things along the way 😊

OMG 🀯 - this dude Thai Richards is literally insane! 2 years of running every single subway line in NYC? that's a whole lotta miles and dedication πŸ’ͺ🏽. And can we talk about his approach? wearing a Yankees jersey, shorts, and gold chains while drinking beer on the run? πŸΊπŸ˜‚ I mean, I get it, he wants to have fun and document his journey, but still... how does one even prepare for that kind of crazy?!

But for real though, it's dope to see someone having a unique perspective on NYC's history and sharing all those train facts and neighborhood changes with his followers πŸ“Έ. And I love the energy behind him declaring "MTA, I ran you all" - like, he owns this city! πŸ’ͺ🏽

πŸš‚πŸ’ͺ OMG what a legend Thai Richards is!!! 2 yrs in the making and now he's done it! Can you even imagine having to run alongside every single subway line?! 😲 The guy's dedication is insane and I love how casual he kept it too, like, drinking beer while running πŸΊπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ. And those train facts he shared? Genius! I'm sure his followers are all gonna geek out over that πŸ€“. But what really gets me is how this journey has given him a new perspective on NYC's history and growth... like, totally profound πŸ’
