Russia-Ukraine war: List of key events, day 1,362

Russia's War on Ukraine Enters Day 1,362: Key Events Unfold

As Russia continues its brutal assault on Ukraine, the situation remains dire, with both sides suffering heavy losses. In a significant development, Russian forces have made substantial gains in Ukraine's southeastern region of Zaporizhia, capturing key settlements and now controlling around 75% of the area.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces responded by targeting Russia's Samara region, striking the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery with explosions and a fire. The extent of damage is still being assessed.

In the past 24 hours, at least four civilians have been killed and 17 others wounded in Russian attacks on Ukraine, according to official figures. In response, Russian forces reportedly intercepted and destroyed over 50 Ukrainian drones and shot down several Neptune guided missiles and HIMARS rockets.

Russia's economy continues to feel the effects of Western sanctions, with its Novorossiysk port resuming oil loadings after a two-day suspension due to a Ukrainian missile attack. The attack caused significant damage to Russia's main Black Sea crude export infrastructure.

In other news, Ukraine has secured a vital supply of US liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Greece, which will help cover its winter needs until March next year. Russian President Vladimir Putin also held talks with Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin last week, highlighting the ongoing financial toll of Western sanctions on Russia.

However, environmental concerns have resurfaced as France has been accused of secretly sending reprocessed uranium to Russia for treatment, a move Greenpeace described as "immoral". The trade contradicts many nations' efforts to step up sanctions on the Russian government over its invasion of Ukraine.

man what's going on in that war they're still takin' it hard but i guess russia's makin progress or somethin 75% of zaporizhia under their control and ukraine retaliatin with them airstrikes on samara region

but like i dont know how much longer this can keep goin the sanctions are really takin a toll on russia's economy it's like they're losin big time and still fightin back and then theres this other thing with france sendin uranium to russia for treatment i thought we were all about savin the planet but if thats what it takes to stick it to russia idc

🚨 This war is getting outta hand, you know? 🀯 Russia's all-in on this, and it's like they're trying to show us all what they're capable of. Those 1,362 days already feeling like forever for the Ukrainian people... πŸ’” I'm not saying Putin doesn't have a point about NATO expansion or whatever, but come on, can't we just talk this through? 🀝 The sanctions are starting to bite, and it's like Russia is getting desperate. We should be trying to broker peace talks, not escalating the situation! πŸ’¬ And what's with France? Sending reprocessed uranium? That's some shady stuff right there... 🚫 Greenpeace is totally right, we gotta keep that in check. Sanctions all around! πŸ‘

this war is taking such a huge toll on all of us, no matter which side we're from πŸ€•πŸŒŽ I just wish people could come together and figure out a peaceful way to resolve this conflict, you know? it's crazy that Russia is struggling with Western sanctions and still managing to cause so much harm in Ukraine πŸ’ΈπŸš« and on the other hand, the whole uranium thing with France... environmental concerns should be our top priority right now πŸŒΏπŸ’š

omg what's going on in ukraine?? 🀯 i was studying about this conflict in school and it's so sad that civilians are getting hurt on both sides πŸ™ anyway, i think sanctions are a good idea to stop russia from doing whatever they're doing but at the same time, france should be careful too, sending reprocessed uranium sounds super bad for the environment 🌎 did you guys know that ukraine is now relying on greece for LNG? that's like, super helpful 🀝 but also what about the global impact of this war?? i mean, it's not just russia and ukraine, it's affecting everyone else too 🌍

Ukraine's southeastern region is basically being held hostage by Russia now 🀯. I mean, it's not like they're trying to make a point or anything... all this fighting and loss of life just seems so... pointless πŸ˜’. And don't even get me started on the civilians getting caught in the crossfire - it's just heartbreaking πŸ’”. On a related note, have you seen Russia's economy lately? It's like they're trying to make up for lost time or something πŸ€‘. But hey, at least they've got their oil refining skills down pat... I mean, who needs basic human rights when you've got a functioning refinery, right? πŸ˜’

OMG, can you believe 1,362 days into this war and it's still going on like that? 🀯 Russia's making gains in Zaporizhia but at what cost, fam? All these civilian casualties... πŸ€• It's not just about the military losses, it's about the people suffering. And then you got Ukraine trying to hit back, and now Russia's all like "oh no, my economy is struggling". πŸ˜‚ Like, I get it, sanctions are tough, but come on, Vlad! πŸ™„

And what's up with France sending reprocessed uranium to Russia? πŸ€” Greenpeace should totally be calling them out on this. It's just another way to make a quick buck while the world is distracted by war. πŸ’Έ Not cool, guys. Not cool at all.

Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on this situation, but honestly, it feels like we're stuck in some kind of never-ending loop. πŸ”„ We need to find a way to get out of this cycle of violence and find a real solution. Can't we just talk things through? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

OMG, this war is getting soooo old 🀯! 1362 days in? Can't believe we're still dealing with all this. I mean, I know there are some major gains for Russia, but at what cost? Those civilian losses are just heartbreaking πŸ’”. And now they're doing it to our oil supplies too? 🚫 Not cool, guys.

And can someone please tell me more about that reprocessed uranium thing? πŸ€” Greenpeace is always on the right side of things when it comes to saving the planet 🌎. If France is sending stuff to Russia for treatment, doesn't that just fuel Putin's war machine a bit? 🀝 I'm all for sanctions and all, but can we find other ways to stop him without hurting our own planet? πŸ’–
