Pop Sensation Sabrina Carpenter Brings Good Vibes to the NYC Subways with Custom PSAs
In a nod to her upcoming Madison Square Garden shows, pop star Sabrina Carpenter has partnered with the MTA to record custom Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for subway riders in New York City. The campaign aims to promote good etiquette on the trains and set a positive tone for commuters.
In one of the PSAs, Carpenter greets subway riders with a friendly "Hi, subway riders! This is Sabrina Carpenter. Courtesy counts." She specifically mentions that this courtesy matters most when heading to MSG to see her show.
This initiative follows in the footsteps of other musicians who have collaborated with the MTA on similar projects. Cardi B recently recorded PSAs discouraging subway surfing and bad behavior, while Billie Eilish encouraged riders to ditch their cars and ride the subway for environmental benefits before her recent shows at MSG.
Carpenter's 'Short n' Sweet Tour', which kicked off in September 2024, has been a commercial success, with the singer releasing another chart-topping album, Billboard 200, shortly after. The tour will continue until November 1, marking a significant period for Carpenter in promoting her music and interacting with fans.
With her custom PSAs, Sabrina Carpenter aims to spread positivity and encourage good behavior on the NYC subway system. As she takes the stage at MSG this week, it seems that she's already making an impact on the community with her friendly reminder: "Courtesy counts."

I was like, totally rocking out to some sick beats and crowd-surfing like it's no big deal... but then I realized my cat, Luna, was sitting in the front row wearing sunglasses and looking like she owned the place

anyway back to Sabrina Carpenter - I love her energy, but have you seen those subway PSAs? I'm more of a " hold doors open for strangers" kind of person myself

It's all about setting a positive tone for commuters, right? And it's awesome that she's using her platform to promote good behavior, especially when it comes to courtesy. You know how some people can just take over entire trains without even checking if they're taking someone else's seat... ugh, it gets frustrating!

But Sabrina Carpenter's PSAs are like a breath of fresh air – she's bringing that good vibes energy to the subway system. I'm definitely gonna start playing her vids on my morning commute and just remind myself (and others) to be more considerate

! . I mean, what's next? Celebrities doing PSAs for everything? It feels like a bit of a PR stunt to me. Can we get some actual stats on how much of an impact these PSAs will have on subway behavior? Or are they just being used as a way for Sabrina Carpenter to promote her shows? I'm not hating on the idea of promoting positivity, but let's keep it real here

I mean, Sabrina Carpenter is poppin' right now and instead of just promoting her music, she's doing something that can actually make a difference in people's lives. By reminding us all to be courteous on the subway, she's spreading a message of kindness and respect. Not everyone is going to listen, but for those who do, it could lead to some real positive change

. I mean, Sabrina Carpenter is talented and all, but do we really need a custom PSA from her to remind us to be polite on the subway? Can't they just hire someone else for that job?
