Sacramento lobbyist pleads guilty in corruption probe of ex-Newsom, Becerra aides

OMG, this is soooo shady 🤯! I mean, $225k just goes down the drain because some people couldn't resist taking bribes 💸? And it's not like they were being transparent about it, but rather keeping it super hush-hush 🤐. The fact that Becerra and Newsom are denying any involvement is really suspicious, don't you think? 🤔 Like, how can they just say "I knew nothing" when there's a former staffer implicating them in the scandal? 😒 And now, this case might actually hurt Becerra's chances of becoming governor? That's some nasty drama 💁‍♀️. But at the same time, I guess it's good that Campbell is cooperating with the prosecutors and hopefully gets a lighter sentence 🙏.

Ugh, another politician caught up in a scandal 🤦‍♂️! This one has me scratching my head too - how could they get away with such blatant corruption? It's like they thought no one was watching... 🙄 I mean, come on, $225k is a pretty big chunk of change. What's the point of even having campaign finance laws if people are just going to find ways to cook the books? 📊 And now Becerra is running for governor with an ethics record that's been tainted by this whole mess... how can you trust him to lead the state when he can't even be trusted to follow the law? 😒

Ugh, this is just great 🙄. A lobbyist admits guilt in a massive corruption scandal involving former Newsom aides... yeah, no surprise there 🤯. I mean, who wouldn't take bribes and stuff the campaign account with fake contracts? It's not like anyone got hurt or anything 🤑. But seriously, $225k is a lot of money, and if Becerra and Newsom were involved, that's even more shady 💸. And now this case is gonna come back to haunt him when he runs for governor... just great timing 😒. Can't wait to see how much drama unfolds during the campaign 🤪.

🤔 So I'm thinking, if Becerra is running for governor and he's already got a scandal like this hanging over his head, how's that gonna play out? It's one thing to be a strong candidate, but when you've got baggage like this, it's hard to shake off. And let's be real, Campbell was like, super willing to flip on his former buddies and now he's getting light sentencing... what does that say about the prosecution vs Becerra's camp? 🤑 The Dem party is gonna have to deal with some serious questions about corruption and accountability.
