Scottish Cup picks: Hearts v Falkirk, Celtic's Benjamin Nygren & Aberdeen's Peter Leven in focus

Hearts face a stiff test as they host Falkirk in the Scottish Cup this weekend. The Edinburgh side are riding high at the top of the Premiership, six points clear of their nearest challengers after a hard-fought midweek win over St Mirren. Falkirk's visit to Hearts has captured the imagination, with the Bairns eager to go far in the competition and new signings in the door this month. However, Hearts have won both league encounters between the two teams this season and the Bairns are yet to score in those fixtures.

Meanwhile, Celtic midfielder Benjamin Nygren is looking to build on his status as the club's top scorer with a win against Falkirk. The 24-year-old Sweden international has been a versatile option for the Hoops since his summer arrival from Nordsjaelland and has already scored 12 goals this campaign. However, with Martin O'Neill once again in charge at Celtic, Nygren may be playing in his preferred midfield position going into Sunday's meeting with Auchinleck Talbot.

Aberdeen's interim manager Peter Leven is facing a tough test as the Dons look to bounce back from successive 2-0 defeats by Rangers. The seven-match winless streak has done little to lift the mood at Pittodrie, following Scottish Cup-winning manager Jimmy Thelin's departure earlier this month. Aberdeen start the defence of their title at home to Championship side Raith Rovers on Sunday, with the Kirkcaldy side looking to build on an immediate upturn in form since Dougie Imrie took over as manager in November.

man i just got back from the most epic road trip to america ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ and i saw some of the most incredible sunsets ever! like literally, this one time we were driving along the pacific coast highway and the sky was on fire ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ˜. we stopped at this tiny beach town in california and watched the sunset together as a family it was so surreal. anyway, back to football... i mean, who's ready for the weekend? โšฝ๏ธ

I'm so stoked for Falkirk's Scottish Cup run this weekend ๐Ÿคฉ! They've got a great squad and new signings are gonna give Hearts a run for their money ๐Ÿ’ช. I mean, we all know Hearts are killin' it in the Premiership right now ๐Ÿ˜Ž, but Falkirk's gotta prove themselves against these top teams. And let's not forget Nygren is on fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ! His goals are always so clutch, I'm sure he'll help Celtic take down Falkirk this weekend ๐Ÿ’จ. But, you know, Falkirk's got a shot at upsettin' the odds and makin' it to the next round ๐Ÿคž. Whoever wins, it's gonna be a sick match! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hearts got lucky this season so far ๐Ÿค”. They don't look that different from Falkirk at times, but they make more of their chances. The thing is, Hearts have won those league games, which counts for something. If Nygren's not scoring, what's the plan B?

I wonder what Falkirk's strategy is going into this big match against Hearts ๐Ÿค”... their new signings might give them a boost but they've got some serious catching up to do considering those league losses ๐Ÿ˜…... also, I'm not sure if Aberdeen are ready for the Scottish Cup after that 7-match winless streak ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ... it's going to be an interesting weekend of football! โšฝ๏ธ

Gotta say, Falkirk's got some spirit coming into this match against Hearts... I mean, they're not gonna back down from a tough test like that! ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ช And it'll be interesting to see how the new signings are gonna fit into their lineup. For me, though, Hearts have been on fire this season and it's hard to see them losing at home. But we've seen Falkirk cause upsets before, so you can never count them out! ๐Ÿ˜ The real question is, will Nygren be able to keep his scoring streak going? ๐Ÿคž

I'm thinking Falkirk's new signings could make a big difference in this game ๐Ÿค”... but at the same time, Hearts have been super solid defensively all season so I don't think Falkirk will be able to score much ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. It would be awesome if Celtic can keep Nygren on his midfield perch though - he's such a threat from deep ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. And I'm kinda worried about Aberdeen, they've lost three games in a row... but maybe the new manager Dougie Imrie will turn things around and bring some positivity to Pittodrie ๐Ÿ’ก. Ugh, what do I know? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I donโ€™t usually comment but I think Hearts are gonna have a really tough time beating Falkirk. Those Bairns are definitely hungry for success and they seem like a team that can cause some problems at home. Their new signings might just be the key to them pulling off an upset. And on Celtic's side, I'm curious to see how Nygren will do against Falkirk - he's been doing really well this season but Falkirk is definitely gonna put him under pressure. The atmosphere in Edinburgh is always electric so you never know what can happen.

The Scottish Cup is always full of drama ๐Ÿ˜…, especially when it comes to Hearts hosting Falkirk this weekend. The Edinburgh side has been doing pretty well at the top of the Premiership, but I think Falkirk's new signings will give them a run for their money. The Bairns are eager to make a name for themselves in the competition and they have a good chance of pulling off an upset.

Celtic is looking strong with Benjamin Nygren on form ๐Ÿ†, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to replicate his success against Falkirk. Martin O'Neill's tactics might just give them the edge they need.

Aberdeen's struggles are quite concerning ๐Ÿค”, especially after losing their previous manager Jimmy Thelin. The Dons need a win to lift their mood and show that they're still capable of competing at the top level. They'll need to bounce back from their recent losses and show some spirit on Sunday against Raith Rovers.

I love how unpredictable Scottish football can be, especially in the cup competitions ๐ŸŽ‰. There's always something exciting happening, even if it doesn't always go as planned for everyone involved!

omg u guys Falkirk is literally the underdog here but i gotta feel for them they're playing with heart and they need a big win to get back into the mix against Hearts who's been looking so dominant recently 6 points clear of 2nd place thats not going down without a fight tho benjamin nygren is on fire tho 12 goals in one season that's insane!

LOL what a week for Hearts! They gotta keep it together and take Falkirk seriously or they'll be sleepwalking into the next round . 6 points ahead is nothing if you're not putting in the Ws, ya feel? And that Nygren dude's on fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ but can he get past the Bairns' defense? ๐Ÿค” I'm hyped for Celtic's game against Auchinleck Talbot tho, hope they finally get some wins under Martin O'Neill . Meanwhile, Aberdeen needs a miracle to turn their season around ๐Ÿคฏ Peter Leven's got his work cut out . Bring it on! ๐Ÿ˜…

Ugh man I'm low-key hyped for this weekend's Scottish Cup matches ๐Ÿคฏ Falkirk is gonna give Hearts a run for their money tho, they've been pretty solid lately and those new signings are gonna make a difference ๐Ÿ’ช The thing that's got me most excited though is Celtic vs Falkirk - can Nygren keep his form going? ๐Ÿ† 6 points clear in the league is crazy, but this is the cup we're talkin about, anything can happen. And Aberdeen needs a win ASAP, their losing streak is getting old ๐Ÿ˜“

Ugh, I'm telling ya, Hearts are gonna crush it this weekend! They've been on fire all season and that Falkirk team is just a warm-up for them. I mean, they're already 6 points ahead of the next closest team, that's dominance right there ๐Ÿคฏ. And don't even get me started on Nygren, he's been on fire since he joined Celtic! He's gotta keep it up though, I'm not buying that he's gonna play out of position just 'cause Martin O'Neill is back in charge ๐Ÿ˜’.

And on the other end, Aberdeen is just a mess right now. Peter Leven can't catch a break and their 7-game losing streak has got everyone at Pittodrie on edge ๐Ÿค•. They need to get their act together if they wanna even think about defending their title. Raith Rovers might be looking good but I'm still putting my money on Aberdeen to pull off an upset ๐Ÿค‘.

Falkirk is basically going to Hearts' dumpster fire this weekend, lol. I mean, 6 points clear of their nearest challengers? They must be on fire or something ๐Ÿคฃ. And Falkirk's all excited about new signings and wanting to go far in the competition... yeah, sure thing, Falkirk ๐Ÿ˜’. Meanwhile, Celtic's top scorer is basically a superstar and he's just chillin' like Martin O'Neill's going to change his playing position ๐Ÿ™„. Anyway, Aberdeen's getting roasted by Rangers again... that seven-match winless streak is no joke ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Can't wait for Raith Rovers to come in and give Aberdeen some much-needed hope ๐Ÿ˜….

this game is gonna be intense ๐Ÿ˜ฌ i think hearts need to step up their game because falkirk's new signings are giving them some serious competition ๐Ÿค” if nygren continues his form, the hoops will have a great chance of winning, but falcons' determination could lead to an upset ๐Ÿ‘Š meanwhile, aberdeen's struggles don't surprise me - they've had some tough times since jimmy thelin left and now peter leven's got some serious work cut out for him ๐Ÿคฏ

Hearts are gonna crush Falkirk, I mean, it's not like they're gonna give them a free pass or anything ๐Ÿ™„. They've already won both their league encounters this season and that's what matters most. But, you know, Falkirk has some new signings so maybe we can expect something different? Still, I think the Bairns are in for a tough time โšฝ๏ธ.

And Celtic's Nygren is looking sharp, no doubt about it ๐Ÿคฉ. He's been on fire lately and with Martin O'Neill back at the helm, he might just be unstoppable. But, we'll see how this season plays out. Those last two defeats by Rangers have to sting for Aberdeen though ๐Ÿ˜”.

The real test will be if Hearts can keep their focus and not get complacent after winning six points clear in the Premiership ๐Ÿ’ช. It's gonna be an intense match at Tynecastle, that's for sure! โšฝ๏ธ

I'm a bit worried about Hearts' upcoming match against Falkirk ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ฆ. They're already under pressure from their Premiership lead and now they have to deal with the added stress of the Scottish Cup ๐Ÿ†. If they can't focus, they might lose that crucial advantage in the league. On the other hand, I think Falkirk is a dark horse for this match ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ”ฎ. Those new signings could make all the difference. The Bairns have been working hard to improve and they've got some talented players. It's gonna be an intense match! โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

Hearts are gonna crush it against Falkirk ๐Ÿคฏ like they did against them last season ๐Ÿ˜‚. I mean, 6 points clear at the top of the Premiership? that's crazy talk! It feels like they're on a roll just like Celtic were when Henrik Larsson was leading the team back in the day ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

And Nygren's been on fire this campaign but even he can't single-handedly win games for Celtic against Falkirk ๐Ÿคฃ. I still don't think Falkirk can beat them 1-0 like they did last season. That Bairns side has got some talent, but they just can't seem to catch a break against Hearts.

Aberdeen's in a slump right now and it feels like they're stuck in the mud like they were when Jimmy Thelin left ๐ŸŒŠ. But Peter Leven's got this! He'll get them back on track, mark my words ๐Ÿ˜Š. And with Raith Rovers coming up next, maybe that's just what they need to shake off the blues โšฝ๏ธ.

hearts are lookin like a solid bet 2 win against Falkirk this wknd ๐Ÿคž theyve got the skillz & speed 2 take down anyone comin @ them ๐Ÿšซ and with nygren on fire, celtic shd be alright too ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I'm loving the Scottish Cup this time of year ๐Ÿ†! There's something special about the underdog teams giving the big boys a run for their money. Falkirk, with those new signings, could definitely cause some trouble for Hearts at home. I mean, the Bairns have been struggling in league matches against them, so who knows? It'll be interesting to see if they can change that form on Sunday ๐Ÿค”.

Aberdeen's having a tough time right now ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Seven matches without a win is no joke. They need to get their squad back together and find some momentum soon or it might be a long season for the Dons. And with Celtic looking strong, I'm not sure if Aberdeen can compete ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Benjamin Nygren's been on fire this season ๐Ÿ”ฅ! He's definitely one of those players who could make a big difference in a team. But you gotta feel for Martin O'Neill and the Celtic squad - they've got some tough games coming up with Falkirk and Auchinleck Talbot ๐Ÿšจ.
