I'm still thinking about this marriage equality ruling ... it's a good thing the Supreme Court isn't revisiting Obergefell, right? But at the same time, I don't want to get too comfortable - there are always going to be people trying to take away our rights. I mean, have you seen all the crazy stuff that's happened with Kim Davis and her refusal to issue marriage licenses? And now Justice Thomas is just saying out loud that he wants to dismantle substantive due process... it's like, come on! But I guess what they're trying to do is create this sense of urgency around it. It's like, okay, we've won this battle, but are we done fighting yet? I don't think so... LGBTQ+ advocates need to stay vigilant and keep pushing forward - that's the only way we'll ever truly achieve equality under the law
can't believe the conservatives are already trying to chip away at marraige equality it's like they thought the court would just magically let them get away with denying ppl the right to love whoever they want the case of kim davies is a huge warning sign that this fight far from over and let's be real, clarence thomas is a major thorn in the side of progress the thing is, we gotta stay woke and keep pushing back against these attempts to undermine our rights as long as there are ppl like mark tushnet fighting for equality, i got faith that we can come out on top
