Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs transfered to NJ’s Fort Dix to start sentence for federal sex crimes

Rapper Diddy Sentenced to 50 Months Behind Bars, Transferred to NJ Prison

In a bid to begin serving his lengthy sentence for federal sex crimes, Sean "Diddy" Combs has been transferred to Fort Dix correctional facility in New Jersey. The rapper, 55, was handed down a 50-month prison term after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in July.

Combs will be eligible for release on May 8, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He also faces five years of supervised release and must pay a fine of $500,000. The original recommendation from prosecutors was over 11 years, but his lawyers had requested a reduced sentence as part of a plea deal.

The rapper has been serving time at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center since his arrest in September 2024. His lawyer, Teny Geragos, had submitted a letter to the court on October 6, urging Judge Arun Subramanian to recommend Fort Dix for Diddy's placement. The letter stated that Combs would benefit from the prison's Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) by addressing his drug abuse issues and maximizing family visitation.

Diddy's conviction was met with a harsh sentence due to prosecutors' claims that he showed no remorse for his actions. However, in court on October 3, Diddy expressed regret for his behavior and apologized to the victims.

Behind bars, Combs has faced allegations of inhumane conditions, including limited access to clean water, food infested with maggots, and lack of physical therapy or exercise. He was also subjected to constant suicide watch. Despite these challenges, his lawyers have continued to push for improvements in his treatment while incarcerated.

In a significant development on the day before Diddy's sentencing hearing, Judge Subramanian rejected his last-minute request for a new trial and acquittal. The judge cited "overwhelming evidence" of Combs' guilt as the basis for their decision.

Ugh, this is so sad 😔... like, Diddy's already been serving time since Sept 2024 and now he gets sent to NJ prison? That's a whole new state! He was supposed to get out in May 2028 but who knows what'll happen now 🤷‍♀️. I mean, his lawyers tried to make a plea deal which might've saved him some time, but 50 months is still a looong sentence 💔... and poor RDAP program he wanted to be part of, that's like, totally gonna help him or something! Maybe he'll actually get the help he needs behind bars, fingers crossed 🤞. Anyway, it's all about the money, right? $500k fine is insane 💸... maybe Diddy should've shown more remorse when he was in court 🙄

50 months is still 50 months 🤯 - you can't control how others treat you in life but what you do about it? You gotta take responsibility for your actions, just like Diddy did when he apologized to his victims on that court day 🙏. If only everyone had a chance to reflect on their mistakes and make amends before serving time behind bars... it's all about growth, learning from our errors, and moving forward with a clearer mind 😊.

man this is crazy 🤯 like did he really think he could get outta that one? 50 months is still 50 months, you feel me? but honestly who knew Diddy had it in him to transport people for prostitution 🤑🚗 i mean we've seen him spit bars like a pro, but this kinda stuff is on another level 💥 his lawyers were tryna get a deal and now he's gonna be chillin' behind bars with the maggots 🐜😷 at least he apologized and showed some remorse tho, that's more than most people can say about themselves 👏

Ugh 😩 just thinkin bout Diddy gettin 50 months 🕰️ can't believe he's facin this time 🤕 his lawyers tryna make it better 💼 RDAP program 🏥 hope it makes a diff 🤞 gotta feel for the victims 👊 still dont understand why prosecutors be so harsh 😒

man I'm so done with Diddy 🤦‍♂️ like what did he expect when you're accused of some serious stuff?? 50 months is still way too much considering all the drama he's put up in his music career... and those allegations behind bars sound straight outta a horror movie 💀🚫, but you gotta respect him for owning up to it and apologizing to the victims 🙏. I just wish his lawyers could've gotten him that reduced sentence thru the plea deal instead of going all in on the RDAP program 🤔. anywayz, hope he gets some real help back there and maybe even turns his life around 💪🌟

😊👏 hope he finds it easier behind bars tho 🤕 at least he apologized in court and seems to be taking responsibility for his actions 💯 and good on his lawyer Teny Geragos for pushing for the Residential Drug Abuse Program 🌱 RDAP can do wonders for people struggling with addiction 🚫💪

can't say i'm surprised by diddy's sentence lol 50 months is like, nothing compared to what he could've gotten. like, who tries to send a rapper to prison for prostitution? and don't even get me started on the conditions behind bars... maggots in his food? no thanks. at least his lawyers are trying to fight for better treatment though 🤷‍♂️. might not be the most sympathetic guy, but you gotta respect him for owning up to his mistakes and apologizing to the victims 🙏. still, 11 years was a lot harsher than what he ended up getting... guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles 🍪.

man... this is like, super deep 🤯 ... think about it, we got Diddy, one of the biggest figures in pop culture, serving time for some pretty serious stuff. and you know what's even crazier? he showed up to court and apologized, but still got slapped with a harsh sentence from the system... it's like, the system is designed to punish, not rehabilitate 🚫 ... but at the same time, we gotta ask ourselves, what's driving Diddy's behavior in the first place? is it just about being reckless and selfish, or is there more to it? maybe he got caught up in some stuff he didn't know how to handle, like a lot of us do 🤷‍♂️ ... and then you got the prison conditions, which are straight outta a horror movie... it's like, we're supposed to be rehabilitating people, not torturing them 🚫... anyway, I'm just saying, this whole thing is a big ol' mess, but maybe that's what makes it so interesting 💭

man this is some crazy news 🤯... like did the guy who produced Bad Boy Records think he could get away with all that? 50 months is still a long time, and I feel bad for his family, but at the same time, you can't just brush off being charged with sex crimes like that. it's not cool, fam 💔... the Residential Drug Abuse Program at Fort Dix might be a good thing for him to get help, but the whole situation is still pretty wild 🤪...

😐 just another celebrity with a long sentence... feels like they're not taking responsibility for their actions 100% 🤷‍♂️. Diddy's case is a reminder that fame doesn't equal immunity from the law 🚔. He should focus on getting help for his drug abuse issues while in prison instead of whining about the conditions 🤦‍♂️. And what's with all these plea deals? It feels like the system is just trying to rush people through so they can get back to their lavish lifestyles 💸.

man this is wild, 50 months feels like a joke considering what he's been through 🤯 i feel bad for him, I mean we all mess up, but you gotta respect the system and not try to manipulate it like that. the fact that his lawyers tried to switch prisons last minute just shows how desperate they were to get him out ASAP 🤑 anyway, hopefully he gets the treatment he needs in NJ and turns his life around 💪

I dont think 50 months is that bad considering what he did 🤔. He's got a good chance to turn his life around while serving time and maybe even get some help with rehab at Fort Dix - RDAP sounds like it could really make a difference in his life 🚪💡. And yeah, the conditions behind bars sound pretty harsh but at least he'll have access to treatment programs that can help him deal with addiction and whatnot 💯.

I just saw this crazy video of a sloth hanging upside down from a tree branch 🐻😂, and I'm like, what's up with that? Is it trying to get away from something or just chillin'? And have you ever noticed how some animals can just sleep all day? Like, what's the point of having eyelids if you're just gonna use 'em to snuggle into your face 🤯. Anyway, back to Diddy... 50 months is still a looong time, hope he gets help with those drug issues and becomes a better person 🕊️.

Ugh, 50 months in the clink? That's cute. I mean, who needs that kind of time to reflect on their mistakes when you can just serve half that and still have enough time to spit out some sick bars while serving hard time? But seriously, it's crazy how quickly things can go from "I'm a rich rapper" to "I'm a convicted sex offender". The fact that they had to negotiate a plea deal down by 9 years is wild. Guess all those lawyers and PR reps did their job 🤑

man I'm really shocked that diddy got 50 months he was expecting way more than that 🤔 his lawyers must have done some serious negotiating to get it down so low, but still its crazy he's been in for like over a year already and now hes getting transferred to nj prison what about the inmates there tho? from what Ive heard fort dix is not the best place to be behind bars all those allegations of poor conditions sound super harsh 😒

I'm not surprised he's getting 50 months but its kinda harsh considering the circumstances 🤔. I mean, Diddy did apologize in court and expressed regret for his actions. It seems like prosecutors were looking for a more severe sentence to make an example out of him 🚫. But at the same time, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution is a serious offense 💯. I'm just glad he's getting some help with his drug issues behind bars – that Residential Drug Abuse Program could be a game changer 🤞. Now let's hope he makes the most of it and turns his life around once he gets out 👍.
