Senator speaks out about his struggle with depression | CNN Politics

Senator John Fetterman's openness about his depression really makes sense ๐Ÿ‘, you know, I was just talking to my friend about how hard it can be to ask for help, and now I'm like, yeah, that's totally normal ๐Ÿ’•, people think you gotta be all strong and stuff, but honestly, it's okay to not be okay ๐Ÿค—.

I gotta say, I'm really glad to see Sen John Fetterman bein open about his struggles with depression ๐Ÿ™Œ. It's so refreshing to see someone in a position of power talk about their mental health instead of keepin it under wraps. I mean, we all know that public figures have a lot on their plate, but it's like they're supposed to be superheroes or somethin ๐Ÿ˜‚. The fact that he's breakin the stigma around mental illness and encouragin people to seek help is a huge deal ๐Ÿ‘. It's not just about him, either - it's about creatin a culture where people feel comfortable talkin about their struggles and gettin the support they need ๐Ÿ’•. I'm def inspired by his courage and commitment to addressin this issue in the Senate ๐Ÿค. We need more of these kinds of conversations, imo ๐Ÿ‘Š

๐Ÿค” I think it's awesome that Senator Fetterman is being so open about his depression ๐ŸŒŸ. It's like he drew a big ol' graph showing how stressful campaigning can be for his mental health:

+---------------+
| Campaigning |
| (stressful) |
+---------------+
|
|
v
+---------------+ +---------------+
| Feeling Overwhelmed | | Downward Spiral |
| (depression starts) | | into depression |
+---------------+ +---------------+

But instead of trying to hide it or pretend like everything is fine, he's talking about it and getting help ๐Ÿ’Š. That's so brave! And I love how he says seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness ๐Ÿค.

It's time for us to break down that stigma around mental illness and create a more open conversation about it ๐Ÿ’ฌ. Maybe we can even draw some other graphs or charts to show how important prioritizing mental health is:

+---------------+
| Prioritizing |
| Mental Health |
| (good for you!) |
+---------------+

Or maybe something like this:

+---------------+
| Seeking Help |
| (sign of strength)|
+---------------+
