I'm so over how long it takes for people like Shania Twain to come along and be like, 'hey guys let's make some changes!' 🙄 I mean don't get me wrong I love country music and I love Shania but I was literally listening to the same 5 songs on repeat from artists that looked like my grandma over the summer. Like what even is that?! It's time for us to wake up and realize that our favorite singers are still human beings with their own stories to tell.

And can we please talk about how important it is for people in positions of power to actually use their platforms for good? Like Shania Twain is literally using her entire career to make a difference. She's not just some old lady trying to be relevant, she's a force to be reckoned with and I am HERE. FOR. IT.

I also love how she's bringing up these talented artists that we've never even heard of before. Like what about us?! We want to see more diverse voices on the radio and at award shows too. Let's give it up for Shania Twain for being a true legend and a total icon 🤩

omg u guys i just saw shania twain's speech at the cmt awards & i'm literally shook she's so right about how country music is lacking diversity & it's not fair that ppl from diff backgrounds r still not getting the recognition they deserve 💖 i'm lowkey obsessed with lily rose & mickey guyton too 🤩 it would be amazing if more artists like them got a chance to shine on twain's tour 🎉
