I feel like this is all so familiar... remember when we used to think that trading players at the deadline would give teams a leg up? Now it's like, what's the point if you're gonna have to give away future assets? I mean, Oubre has that expiring deal and he's basically untouchable. It's like trying to trade away a valuable asset from back in the '03 NBA Finals with Jordan on our team... just not worth it. As for these younger guys, Justin Champagnie is cool, but have you seen the way the Spurs used Pau Gasol? You gotta think long-term here.
