so like i was talking to my friend from class yesterday about new weight loss meds that just came out... apparently there's a warning from the UK regulator now about semaglutide and tirzepatide? 
they're saying its kinda rare but people can get severe pancreatitis which sounds super painful 
i'm not really sure what to think, i mean we've been taking these meds in class for like 3 months already... our teacher said it was safe and the school even gave out free samples
but now there's a warning? idk if its true tho...
anyway, my friend told me that the people who make these meds are all like "we care about patient safety"
which is cool i guess... but still kinda weird...

. and it's not like it's some new-fangled medicine, it's just an updated version of stuff they've been using for years 
. maybe we should be focusing on the fact that there's actually research being done to understand what genes might affect the risk of side effects? 
like, it's a small risk but stiil 17 reported fatalities?? that's scary 
so yeah, let's all just be safe & report any weird symptoms to our docs
