I think this project is gonna bring so much character to Sth St Headhouse District! The idea of local artists getting to put their own spin on capturing the essence of South Street's vibe is genius . I'd love to see some crazy, colorful designs pop up on those lampposts... it'll be a game-changer for the area. Plus, getting featured on the district's website will definitely give these artists a boost in their careers!
I'm stoked that South Street is getting some much-needed love, but I gotta say, are we really just relying on lamppost banners to give this iconic area a facelift? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's awesome that the business improvement district is offering artists a chance to shine, but what about some more substantial investments in community programs or initiatives?
And I'm curious - have they considered how these banners are going to age? Lampposts aren't exactly known for their durability, so we'll see how long these beauties stay up. Still, it's awesome that local creatives will get to be a part of this project and give South Street some fresh eyes.
I'm loving this idea! Artists from all over should totally apply! It's so cool that they're giving local creatives a chance to shine and put their work up on the lampposts. I can already imagine how amazing it'll look with all these colorful banners along South Street. The fact that they'll be showcasing on the district's website too is like, totally awesome! It's gonna be so cool to see what kind of art they come up with and who gets chosen. I'm thinking of submitting some pics of my own art if I could... would love to be a part of this project!
"omg i'm so down for this!!! it's about time south street got some love can't wait to see what kind of crazy talented artists get chosen...i mean, who wouldn't want to have their art on a lamppost in one of philly's coolest neighborhoods? i'm thinking murals or super colorful graphics would be perfect for this project... maybe we'll even see some street art vibes "
I think it's so cool that they're doing this project! I mean, South Street already has such a great vibe, but adding these awesome banners will just take it to the next level . As someone who loves art and history, I can totally see how this would be an amazing way to showcase the neighborhood's unique spirit. I've lived around here for years and I know how special it is, but sometimes you don't really realize it until you see it in a new light . Plus, getting to see your work online and on lampposts all over the street? That's like, the ultimate art experience . I'm definitely going to have to look into this opportunity for myself... who knows, maybe my art will be featured next!
OMG, I'm all about this beautification project! It's awesome that the South Street Headhouse District is giving artists a chance to shine with these lamppost banners. I mean, who doesn't love a good dose of local creativity? From Swedish-Dutch roots to countercultural vibes, South Street has always been about self-expression and innovation. I'm totally stoked that they're highlighting the neighborhood's history while also giving artists a platform to showcase their own style.
The fact that this project is not only a facelift for the area but also an opportunity for creatives to make a mark is just perfect! I hope the selected artists get to push the boundaries of what's possible with lamppost banners. It'll be so cool to see what they come up with!
