Spanish-inspired restaurant Antidote coming to Detroit’s East Village - Detroit Metro Times

I don't know if I'm excited about this new restaurant Antidote yet... I mean, another Spanish-inspired eatery sounds like just what the world needs, right? 🤔 They're calling it a "global twist" but isn't that just code for "we took some Spanish recipes and threw in some random stuff"? And don't even get me started on the Basque cheesecake - is that really going to be any different from every other cheesecake I've ever had? 😐 The fact that they have handcrafted cocktails is nice, but what's wrong with just ordering a standard margarita like everyone else?
 
🍴 so another Spanish eatery opens up in detroit... it's not like we haven't had enough of that already 🙃 but seriously though, Nya Marshall is really bringing her A game with Antidote, the menu looks fire and I'm low-key excited to try out that Basque cheesecake 😋 can't wait to see how it compares to all those rave reviews online 💁‍♀️
 
Ugh, another overhyped restaurant opening up! Think they can just slap some Spanish names on the menu and call it a day... Antidote's got some solid ideas tho, I'll give 'em that. That Basque cheesecake is lookin' straight fire 🔥👌. But, let's be real, Detroit's East Village can get pretty crowded during peak hours. Gonna have to see how they handle the foot traffic... and the prices, hopefully not breakin' the bank 💸😅
 
Omg, I'm so down for trying Antidote 🍴👌! Spanish food vibes are always a win in my book 🇪🇸💫 Marshall's got some big shoes to fill but I trust her culinary skills 👩‍🍳 and passion for global cuisine 🌎. The Basque cheesecake has me intrigued 🤔, can't wait to sink my teeth into it 😋! Non-alcoholic options are a must for me too 🥂. East Village just got a whole lot more interesting 🎉! 19th Jan can't come soon enough ⏰!
 
Just saw this thread about Antidote and I gotta say I'm kinda surprised it took so long for me to hear about it lol. Been missing Nya Marshall's culinary vibes after Ivy Kitchen closed down. A Spanish-inspired eatery in the East Village? Sounds right up my alley! Can't wait to try that Basque cheesecake, been hearing great things about it. And a whole wine selection and craft cocktails? Win win win. January 19th can't come soon enough 😊
