Special election to fill Mikie Sherrill's U.S. House seat will be held in April

ugh what's up with murphy's scheduling 🤔? trying to cram everything into one month is straight up crazy 💥 can't believe he's gonna force everyone to meet a deadline by thanksgiving lol like if you wanna run for congress, you gotta be prepared 😂 anyway, i think it's awesome that there are so many candidates already throwing their hats in the ring 🎉 more choice is always a good thing 👍

And what's with the Republican drama? Can't they just get along for once? 😂 I mean, I'm sure Governor Murphy knows what he's doing, but come on, let a guy breathe before you start criticizing him. 🙅‍♂️ At least 10 Democrats and one Republican already in the mix... this thing is gonna be a wild ride! 💥

Ugh 🙄, can we please just slow down for one sec? I mean, I know it's super important to have someone in Congress ASAP, but do we really need a special election so soon after Mikie Sherrill resigned? February 5 feels like a pretty tight squeeze, and now candidates are already starting to file petitions... isn't that a bit too much pressure? 🤯 What if some people aren't even ready or prepared to run yet? It's gonna be a long road to April 16. And on top of that, early voting is just another thing for us voters to keep track of 🙄... it's like, can't we all just chill for one sec and enjoy the holiday season without the politics?

Like, can't we just chill for once?

I think it's pretty clear he's trying to keep things in-house among Democrats, but at what cost? I mean, access is key, right? And early voting on Jan 29th is like, woah! So much pressure to get the word out and turn those votes. Fingers crossed it'll all work out smoothly come April
