Spot-on Cole Palmer fires first-half hat-trick as Chelsea win at woeful Wolves

Chelsea scored a 3-1 win against Wolves with Cole Palmer's first-half hat-trick, despite the visitors showing signs of life in the second half.

A resounding victory at Molineux Park saw Chelsea cruise past their opponents, but it was only after Liam Rosenior's team had pulled back to make it 3-2. The match went beyond that mark when Cole Palmer continued his impressive display, scoring a third goal. This marked the end of his involvement in the game, and his teammates quickly followed suit.

The opening goal was awarded to Chelsea on their first meaningful attack, and from there, the confidence among the team members grew. It wasn't long before another Wolves mistake set up an opportunity for Chelsea's midfielder, who coolly dispatched the ball into the back of the net. A clean sweep was not possible as Wolves scored back nine minutes later with a goal that came about due to Tolu Arokodare.

Chelsea maintained their lead through Cole Palmer's hat-trick, which earned him praise from Rosenior. According to Rosenior, the team's football displayed everything he was looking for and was particularly pleasing when Palmer scored the third goal in a slick move.

Wolves offered Chelsea resistance but were largely outplayed by the visitors throughout the match. A penalty given away by Rob Edwards' side after Matt Doherty conceded a foul on João Pedro gave Chelsea an early lead, and Yerson Mosquera's handball led to Palmer scoring his second goal from the penalty spot.

Rob Edwards' team offered little resistance as Chelsea continued their winning run with four successive league victories. A comeback was ultimately not possible for Wolves due to Chelsea's solid form and their impressive performance in the first half.

The overall win marked Rosenior's seventh victory in nine matches, while Chelsea maintained their record of securing a leg-up over their opponents in this match series, which now stands at 15-4 against Wolves.

omg, cole palmer is on fire 🚀💥!! that hat-trick was insane! i mean, wolves put up some good fight, but chelsea's squad just outplayed them all around 🤯. palmer's moves on the field were so slick and cool 😎. and i gotta say, rosenior's praise is well-deserved - the guy's got some serious managerial skills 👏. wolves might be having a tough time against chelsea right now, but with edwards at the helm, they'll bounce back stronger 💪. that penalty given away was super key tho 🤦‍♂️. anyway, four wins in a row for chelsea - let's see if this winning streak keeps going 🔥!

Ugh, another Wolves loss 🙄...I mean, I guess it's to be expected when you're playing the mighty Chelski 💁‍♀️. Seriously though, Cole Palmer is on fire 🔥! I love how he just takes over a game and makes his teammates look good 👏. And Rosenior's got some mad skills too 🤩...I mean, who else can make a 3-1 win look impressive? 😂 Still, Wolves have to give credit where credit is due - they showed some life in the second half and made it interesting ⚔️. But in the end, it was all Chelsea's game 🎉. Maybe Rosenior should just stick to what he's good at: managing his team...and losing 😂💪

omg u no wolves were actually looking pretty good at times lol cole palmer is insane tho 🤯 like how did he score that third goal? anyway chelsea seems to be on fire rn with this win and it's getting harder for teams to beat them in the league 🏆 their defense is solid as a rock

Cole Palmer is on FIRE 🔥🔴⚽️! 3 goals and a hat-trick in one game? That's insane!!! I'm loving his skills on the pitch, he's got that special something that makes him stand out from other players. And let's be real, Chelsea's squad is looking super strong this season 🤩👏, it's not just Palmer who's making a difference, the whole team is coming together to get those wins 💪🔵.

I'm curious to see how Wolves bounce back from this loss 😬, they've got some tough matches ahead of them and need to step up their game if they want to catch Chelsea. But for now, let's just enjoy Palmer's impressive display 🎉!

Wow 🤩 Chelsea totally destroyed Wolves today! Cole Palmer is a beast on the pitch 😂 his hat-trick was insane! Rob Edwards' team just couldn't cope with the blue's pace and skill. They were outplayed from start to finish. The third goal he scored was so sick, that slick move had me screaming at my screen 📺 Chelsea are on fire right now and it looks like they're not gonna stop anytime soon 🔥
