Steal review – you long for Sophie Turner to triumph in this wild thriller

Sophie Turner shines as Sophie Zara, a young woman whose life takes a drastic turn after she's forced to join an armed gang that hijacks a £4 billion pension fund. Initially, the show feels like just another heist thriller, with the thieves using cutting-edge technology and leaving a trail of bloodshed in their wake.

However, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that nothing is as it seems. The team's leader, Zara, has an ulterior motive for joining the gang, and her motives are gradually revealed over the course of six episodes. Turner brings depth and nuance to her character, making it impossible not to root for her as she navigates the treacherous world of high-stakes crime.

The series also boasts a talented supporting cast, including Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as DCI Rhys Kovac, who is tasked with investigating the heist. The script, penned by debut writer Sotiris Nikias, keeps the story fresh and engaging, with plenty of twists and turns to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

One of the standout aspects of Steal is its thought-provoking commentary on the dangers of greed and the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few individuals. The show highlights how this can lead to resentment and social unrest, making it a timely and relevant watch.

Turner delivers a standout performance as Zara, bringing a sense of authenticity to her character that makes it impossible not to want her to triumph over the forces arrayed against her. With its breakneck pace, clever plot twists, and thought-provoking themes, Steal is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas.

I'm loving this show so far! 🤩 Sophie Turner is doing an amazing job as Zara, she's got some serious acting chops. But I did notice that the £4 billion pension fund being hijacked seems like a pretty big stretch - I mean, how likely would it be for someone to just join an armed gang and start robbing funds? 🤑 Still, I think the writers are trying to make a point about class inequality and social unrest, which is super relevant. And that supporting cast is on point too! 😂 Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as the detective sounds like he's got some serious skills. One thing I do wish they'd elaborate more on Zara's backstory, feels like it could be explored more...

so I'm hearing this show "Steal" is all about this gang that hijacks a £4 billion pension fund... sounds like just another heist thriller to me 🤔. but then I read that the main character's motives are super nuanced and it's not just about the money 💸. I guess what gets me is how the show explores greed and wealth concentration in society - it feels kinda relevant right now 🤑. and I'm intrigued by the supporting cast, especially DCI Kovac... but we'll see if it all holds up over 6 episodes 📺. overall, I'd say it's worth checking out, but is it really "must-watch" material? 🤷‍♀️

I'm so obsessed with this new show Steal 🤯! I was like "heist thriller" initially but Sophie Turner brings depth to her character in just 6 eps? Mind blown 💥. And the supporting cast? DCI Kovac is straight fire 🔥. The twisty plot had me guessing till the end and it's so thought-provoking about wealth & greed 🤑💸. I love how Zara's motives are slowly revealed, keeps you engaged and invested in her story. Sophie Turner's performance is insane 🤯 - I'm all for underdog stories now 💪. The pacing is crazy fast but still manages to keep you on the edge of your seat 😱.

I don't know about this one... I mean, I love Sophie Turner, but an armed gang hijacking a £4 billion pension fund just seems like a recipe for disaster 🤦‍♀️. And what's with the "nothing is as it seems" thing? Sounds like every other show to me. And don't even get me started on the whole greed and concentration of wealth theme - isn't that just a fancy way of saying "rich people are bad"? 🤑 I'm not sure I buy into all that. I mean, I love a good heist thriller as much as the next person, but this one just seems like a bunch of hype to me... 🤔

just watched this new show 'Steal' on netflix 🤯 and i'm OBSESSED! sophie turner as zara is everything and more - she's got this whole complex personality thing down pat 😂. i love how the show starts off as just a heist thriller but then takes this dark twist that keeps you guessing till the very end 🕵️‍♀️.

and omg the supporting cast is EVERYTHING! jacob fortune-lloyd as dc kovac is soooo good 🤓, and the script is witty and engaging. what really got me though was how it explores this thought-provoking commentary on greed and wealth distribution 💸 - it's like, wow, i never realized how much of an issue that is in our society.

anyway, just a heads up to all you crime drama fans out there... 'Steal' is a MUST WATCH 📺 trust me, you won't regret it!
