Stellar weekend weather for Houston, then fog and rain return next week

Houstonians Reap Sunshine Rewards Over Weekend, But Rain and Fog Return Next Week.

Residents of Houston can enjoy a stellar weekend with sunny skies and mild temperatures this Saturday and Sunday, but they'll have to bid farewell to the warmth as fog and rain clouds make their way back to town next week.

The current Arctic air that has been blanketing the city is expected to lift, allowing for plenty of sunshine on both Saturday and Sunday. Daytime highs are forecasted to reach into the 70s, while nighttime lows will dip into the 40s. While morning fog may make an appearance on Sunday, it should clear up by mid-morning.

However, as Monday approaches, a chance of widespread fog is expected when returning to work or school. This is a brief respite before the rain and gloom return.

According to forecasters, widespread showers are expected to hit Tuesday, with thunderstorms possibly joining them. The timing of these storms remains uncertain, but it's possible they could hold off until nightfall on Tuesday, carrying over into Wednesday morning.

Despite the rain, the region is still far from experiencing another arctic freeze this season. However, there may be one last chance at a freeze by the end of February.

In the meantime, residents are advised to check out ABC13's latest weather maps and alerts for real-time updates on the storm system.

Ugh I'm so over the weather forecast πŸŒ«οΈπŸ˜’. Can't we just have one decent day without rain or fog? I mean, I get it, winter is coming back to Houston, but can't we just enjoy a little bit of sunshine before it's gone again? And what's up with the morning fog? Like, who likes getting woken up by a thick blanket of mist? 😴 Not me, that's for sure. Anyway, I guess I'll just have to pack my umbrella and rain boots... again πŸŒ‚πŸ‘ .

Ugh πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ, another weekend ruined by Mother Nature. I swear, can't we just have one decent stretch of sunshine without it coming to an end? And don't even get me started on this "sunshine rewards" thing... what's wrong with just enjoying the weather like a normal person? It feels like every single forecast is all doom and gloom 🌨️. Next week, back to rain and fog... great, just what I needed to make my weekend even more depressing ☁️.

I'm not gonna lie, I kinda love how unpredictable Houston's weather is 🌞😊. One day it's sunshine and mild temps, the next it's fog and rain... keeps life interesting, right? And who knows, maybe that last chance at a freeze by Feb ends up being just what we need to shake things up a bit β„οΈπŸ‘. Plus, free weather alerts are always a blessing πŸ™. Just gotta make the most of these sunny days while they last β˜€οΈπŸ’›

OMG, I'm soooo stoked it's gonna be sunny this weekend! 😍🌞 Like, perfect weather to grab brunch at The Breakfast Klub or walk around Discovery Green with friends. But ugh, fog and rain next week? No thanks! β˜οΈπŸ˜’ Can't even enjoy my morning coffee on the patio without getting all misty. And don't even get me started on the potential thunderstorms... like, can we just have a dry spell for once?! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ At least it's not gonna be freezing anymore, so that's a plus. Fingers crossed the weather stays pretty predictable from now on! 😊

omg you guys, lets not be all rainy and gloomy about it haha 🌞️🌨️ i mean yeah its gonna rain next week but think of all the good vibes we got this weekend πŸ€— sunshine is always a blessin, even if its just for 2 days. dont wanna jinx the weather tho πŸ€” so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope the sun comes back before too long β˜€οΈπŸŒ΄

Ugh, can we talk about how annoying it is that I have to scroll through all these posts about the weather? Like, I get it, folks in Houston need to know what to wear, but come on... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I just want to discuss the latest meme or share my thoughts on a new movie. Can't we make this forum more than just a weather forecast board? And another thing, who decides that Saturday and Sunday are always the best days for posts? Like, can't they see I'm trying to relax on Friday night? 😴 And what's with all these different fonts and colors in your posts? It's like you're trying to blind me with too much information... 🀯

I'm totally stoked that Houston is getting a little sunshine break this weekend 🌞️! I mean, who doesn't love basking in some warm weather and enjoying the outdoors without having to bundle up? It's gonna be perfect for getting out there and exploring the city or just chillin' in your backyard. But seriously, it's nice that we're getting a little reprieve from all this cold Arctic air ❄️... I was starting to think I'd have to start wearing layers all day every day! πŸ˜‚ Anyway, I'm definitely keeping an eye on those weather maps and alerts just in case things change - rain or no rain, it's always good to be prepared 🀞.

I'm so stoked to see some sunshine in Houston this weekend 🌞! Perfect weather for outdoor activities like kayaking or cycling along Buffalo Bayou. Can't wait to soak up those Vitamin D rays β˜€οΈ. But, seriously though, rain and fog are expected to roll back in next week, so I'm gonna make the most of it while it lasts 😎.

Ugh, I'm already over that foggy Monday forecast 🀯. Who wants to go back to work with that stuff? And Tuesday is looking pretty washout too... still, at least we're not expecting another arctic freeze this season, right? ❄️ That's a definite bonus. But for now, let's just enjoy these sunny days and soak up some Vitamin D β˜€οΈ!

ugh i hate when these weather forecasters keep saying "widespread" everything lol it's like can't we just get some consistent sunshine around here? anyway, so yeah, make sure you grab those sunglasses this weekend cause it's gonna be a beautiful 2 days πŸ•ΆοΈβ˜€οΈ then again, Monday morning fog is a real thing, and i'm already dreading getting out of bed let's hope we can still squeeze in some decent weather by the end of feb πŸ’¨β„οΈ

πŸŒžοΈβ˜€οΈ Oh man, I'm so hyped for this weekend in Houston! πŸ˜† The sun is gonna be shining bright and it's gonna feel like a spring day πŸŒΈπŸ’›. But, ugh, rain and fog are just the worst β˜οΈπŸ˜’. Can't they just stay gone? 😩 And yikes, widespread fog on Monday? Like, no thanks! 😴 But, I guess it's all part of life in Houston... unpredictable weather, that is πŸŒͺ️. Fingers crossed for one last freeze by Feb tho ❄️. Can't wait to grab a coffee outside without my umbrella β˜•οΈπŸ˜Š.

ugh, weekend vibes 🀩 gotta enjoy it while its sunny, 'cause next week is supposed to be all foggy and rainy 🌨️. can we just get some consistent weather for once? not that i mind bundling up in a parka or anything... but seriously, who wants to deal with fog and rain every day? πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ at least its not arctic freeze season again... fingers crossed for one last thaw by feb, tho βš”οΈ.

Ugh, what's up with these weather forecasts anyway? Can't they just make up their minds? One day it's sunny, the next fog and rain, yadda yadda... πŸ™„ I swear, I'm gonna have to check my phone like 10 times a day to see if it's actually going to rain on Tuesday. And what's with all these different forecasts? Arctic air lifting, daytime highs in the 70s, nighttime lows in the 40s... can't they just give me a simple yes or no answer? Like, will I get wet and miserable at work today or not? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I'm gonna say it, but like, who cares about the weather forecast? I mean, we're living in Houston, what's a little rain and fog right? It's not like we don't know how to handle a few cloudy days 🌫️. And btw, 70s temps sound way too nice to be true... like, where's the drama in that? Let it snow already! ❄️
