Steven Drozd Breaks Silence on Flaming Lips Exit: 'Moving On Felt Right'

omg did u no stephen drozd was in 2 deep lol he tried 2 stay but wyne coyne wasn't havin it 🤣 i feel him tho, after 33 yrs its time 4 a change. the band's last album w/o him is still unreleased maybe its time 4 a comeback? or r they movin on 2 new sounds? 🎸🔥

I'm kinda sad about this news 🤔... I mean, Stephen Drozd was such an integral part of Flaming Lips' sound and energy. 33 years with the band is no joke, and it's crazy to think he just decided to step away. But at the same time, can't blame him for needing a break or wanting to explore other creative outlets 🎸. I'm curious to see how the rest of the band moves forward without him – will they be able to replicate that same magic? And I have to admit, it's kinda cool that he's still open to contributing in the studio 🤓.

omg 😂 i think its actually kinda refreshing that Stephen felt he had to make the move after 33 yrs with the band... i mean weve all been there where things just feel stale & stagnant, right? 🤷‍♂️ its not like hes abandoning ship or anything, more like he's re-evaluating his priorities & wanting to keep contributing in other ways. im curious tho how will this affect their music & live shows now?

I don’t usually comment but I think it’s kinda cool that Stephen Drozd is finally speaking up about his departure from Flaming Lips. He seems like he's still got love for the band, even if he's not gonna be touring with them anymore. I feel bad that things didn't work out with Wayne Coyne, though. I don’t know what they talked about behind closed doors, but it's clear that Drozd had some strong feelings about moving on. 😊 It’s also pretty interesting that he joked about making a "Boomer mistake" – like, we get it, dude, you made a change and now we're all curious! 🤣

I'm still trying to wrap my head around Stephen's decision 🤔. I mean, 33 years is a long time, and it's crazy he's feeling like he needs to move on now. Don't get me wrong, I think Drozd was an amazing part of the Flaming Lips' sound, but at the same time...I can see why Wayne and him would have differing opinions on how to proceed 🎸. I'm kinda curious about what A.J. Slaughter brings to the table, though 😂. Maybe it'll be a fresh start for the band?
