omg u guys!! just saw that trailer 4 the BBC's Lord of the Flies miniseries & I am SO here for it!!! those boys on that island sounds like total drama and can we talk about how intense it is when Ralph & Jack go at each other?? i love how they're trying to survive but also just being their savage selves . i've read the book a million times already, but this looks like it's gonna be SOOO good!! let's get ready for some serious psychological drama & I'm low-key hyped for it!!!
Ugh, this sounds so depressing I remember watching "Lord of the Flies" in school and thinking it was just a bunch of kids running around on an island. This BBC adaptation looks so dark and intense... like they're trying to relive some kind of trauma or something I don't know if I want to watch this, it might give me nightmares. Back in my day, we didn't have all these fancy special effects and whatnot. We just watched the original 1963 film with Peter Fonda and that was enough for us Those kids on the island were so lucky they got rescued! Can you imagine being stuck there forever?
This 'Lord of the Flies' thing seems super intense... I mean, who wants to see a bunch of young boys turn on each other? It's like, what's the point of survival if you're just gonna fight over resources or whatever? And don't even get me started on the whole power struggle thing - it's like they're trying to recreate the real world in a microcosm or something. I'm curious to see how the BBC does it though, gotta respect their dedication to sticking to Golding's original story.
I'm low-key hyped about this new 'Lord of the Flies' miniseries . I mean, who hasn't watched that book in school and been like "yeah, yeah, we get it" ? But a new adaptation with a fresh cast? That's gotta be good . And I love how they're not shying away from showing the darker side of human nature β power struggles, violence, the whole nine yards . It's gonna be interesting to see how they portray Ralph and Jack's rivalry . The island setting looks super creepy too . I'm also curious about what the British naval ship rescue scene is gonna look like . Anyways, can't wait to dive in (pun intended)
I'm low-key intrigued by this BBC miniseries adaptation... it's like they're bringing our collective anxieties about societal collapse to life on screen . The fact that we get to see these young boys, meant to be innocent and pure, descending into chaos and savagery in the face of adversity is both haunting and thought-provoking . It raises so many questions about how we treat each other when left to our own devices, and whether we're truly as civilized as we think we are . Can't wait to see how they bring this wild, messed-up world to life
ugh i cant believe how fast they go from trying to survive to full on savagery it sounds like those boys were just born to kill each other lol and what's up with ralph trying to lead them at first? did he think he was gonna be some kinda lord or something anyway its def gonna be interesting to see how they adapt the book into a miniseries
