OMG, this is just so sad
! Lucia's story is literally heartbreaking. I mean, she's been living in the US since she was 7, and now she's being deported back to a country that's basically a war zone? It's like, what even is the point of all these immigration rules if they're just gonna tear people away from their families and futures?
And can we talk about how cruel it is that she was handcuffed and treated like a hardened criminal? Like, she's 19 years old, for crying out loud! She didn't do anything wrong. This is just ridiculous.
I'm so angry on her behalf, but at the same time, I feel like we need to keep pushing for change. We can't let cases like Lucia's become normalized. We need to stand up for our fellow immigrants and fight for their rights. It's not too late to make a difference, you know?
So, let's all just take a deep breath, be kind to each other, and try to stay positive. Lucia may be in Honduras right now, but I'm sure she'll get through this. And who knows? Maybe one day we'll see her back on those college campuses, studying hard and chasing her dreams
