just think about it, more platforms gonna make tv content free and easy to access... what's next? everyone just watchin' for free all day don't get me wrong, i love discovery new creators but also think about creators makin' a livin' off their work
this is so cool!!! substack is like the ultimate platform for creators and now they're taking it to the small screen ! i love that users can browse dedicated pages for each channel and access curated "For You" sections with algorithmic recs , its gonna be lit
i gotta say though some ppl are skeptical but i think this is a game-changer especially if substack starts giving free peeks of paid content in the future that would be low-key amazing
anywayz the app is available now so go ahead and give it a try and let me know what you think
I donโt usually comment but I gotta say, this whole TV app thing by Substack has got me wondering if they're trying to reach an entirely new audience . I mean, sure, it's cool that they can finally broadcast their long-form vids and all, but is this really the future of indie media? I don't know, man...I still love getting my news and info from writers who actually care about what they're writing about . Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked to see creators taking charge of their own content, but at the same time, can we lose some of that soul in the process?
idk about this substack tv thing... it sounds like just another way for writers to monetize their content i mean don't get me wrong, more options for creators are always a good thing, but is this really what we need? I've been seeing so many people jumping on the substack bandwagon without even reading the articles first... now they're gonna be watching videos too? it just seems like another distraction from actual in-depth reading
