I'm blown away by this play, "The Story Of Violence" . I mean, who would've thought that something like this could come out of a prison? It's like they're saying, "Hey, we might be locked up, but our voices still matter." The fact that they were able to tackle such tough topics and still manage to convey hope and restorative justice is just amazing . And the reaction from their audience? Absolutely heartwarming . It shows me that even in the darkest places, art can be a powerful tool for change. Let's keep supporting these guys and seeing where this creative energy takes them .

I think this is pretty cool , like who would've thought that inmates at a correctional center could create an award-winning play? It's amazing how creative expression can be such a powerful tool for change. I mean, these guys were writing about their own experiences with violence and systemic issues, but then they went from that to creating something that brings hope and restorative justice... it's like, totally inspiring! And the fact that it had an impact on the audience, especially the men who live in those communities, is just incredible. Umm... I don't know... I mean, on one hand, this is super cool that some guys in prison made an award-winning play and it's helping to change people's minds about violence... But, at the same time... like, isn't it kinda weird that they're creating art while they're still locked up? Don't get me wrong, I think creativity can be super powerful for personal growth and stuff, but, y'know... shouldn't they be out in the community where they can actually make a difference?

And, another thing... how do we know this play is really gonna help reduce violence in their neighborhoods? Like, it's all well and good that some guys cried in the audience and had deep conversations, but what about the systemic issues they're trying to address? Are they just treating the symptoms or tackling the root problems?

Still, I guess it's a start... and, hey, if art can inspire people to think differently, then more power to 'em! Just wish we could see some real-world impact before we get too caught up in the hype.

I gotta disagree, I think this whole thing is a total waste of time . These guys are stuck behind bars and now they're trying to make art and "find personal and systemic solutions" to violence? Give me a break! It's just a bunch of prisoners playing at being artists. What's next, a prison choir singing about their feelings? And don't even get me started on the "transformative power of art" nonsense... like that's going to fix anything in these communities. Just a bunch of feel-good fluff .
