Tame Impala Resurrects ‘Sundown Syndrome’ at Halloween Barclays Show

Tame Impala Brought Back a Hauntingly Familiar Experience at Barclays Center Halloween Show.

Tame Impala's Deadbeat Tour, which kicked off in Brooklyn earlier this week, continued to showcase Kevin Parker's mastery of psychedelic pop with a haunting performance of his 2009 single 'Sundown Syndrome', a live rarity that hadn't been played on tour since 2018.

As the night wore on, the arena transformed into an immersive experience for fans clad in costumes reminiscent of Parker's early "scarf era." The anticipation was palpable as fans eagerly awaited the showstopper.

The evening took a surreal turn when comedian Eric Andre made an unexpected cameo inside the show's bathroom cam, sharing a quick kiss with Kevin Parker that sent the crowd into fits of laughter and cheers.

This impromptu moment only added to the already electrifying atmosphere, further solidifying Tame Impala's reputation for delivering unforgettable live experiences.

The Deadbeat Tour has been a celebration of Parker's latest album, 'Deadbeat', which debuted at number one on six different rankings, including Top Rock & Alternative Albums. The tour's success is evident with its top-10 placement on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart and numerous other accolades.

With its next stop in Toronto, the Deadbeat Tour is set to continue its reign as a must-see event for fans of psychedelic rock.

🤯 I loved how Tame Impala brought that retro vibe back at the Barclays Center show! The 'scarf era' costumes were such a great nod to Kevin Parker's past, and it was like stepping into a time capsule. And can we talk about that Eric Andre cameo?! 😂 It was totally unexpected but added so much energy to the performance. OMG, can you even imagine that bathroom cam sesh? Eric Andre crashing the party like that 🤣😂! I'm low-key obsessed with Tame Impala's live shows now - Kevin Parker's energy is infectious and his music has me totally vibing out 🌟. The way he brings back those old faves like 'Sundown Syndrome' is just genius, it's like a trip down memory lane 🕰️. I'm also loving how the whole Deadbeat Tour is a celebration of Parker's new album - he really knows how to make an entrance 💥. Toronto, here we come!

I mean, I love Tame Impala live shows but Barclays Center's venue just isn't designed for this kind of experience 🤯. The whole "immersive" vibe they're going for feels more like a theme park ride than a genuine connection with the music 🎢. And don't even get me started on the bathroom cam 😂 - Eric Andre's surprise appearance was hilarious but it felt kinda... manufactured 💀. I guess what I'm saying is, if you wanna see Tame Impala truly shine, they need to ditch the fancy production and just let Kevin Parker do his thing 🎸. The Deadbeat Tour has been amazing so far, though! 👍

omg this show sounds EPIC 🤩 kevin parker's live performances are always so unique & immersive! i love how he incorporated his old "scarf era" aesthetic into the costumes 👕🎨 and that unexpected cameo by eric andre was pure comedy gold 😂💦. the fact that it happened in the bathroom cam is just genius 🤣. the deadbeat tour has been a game-changer for tame impala, i mean who else can make a psychedelic rock show so fun & energetic? 🎸🔥

OMG u gotta see this live show! they transformed the whole arena into like some trippy dreamworld, i swear i felt like i was transported back 2 2009 lol Tame Impala's mastery of psych pop is REAL! and that Eric Andre cameo had me DYING from laughter 😂😂😂 it was like the whole crowd was vibin' on the same wavelength. the showstopper tho? still can't even process how lit it was 🤯🔥 gotta check out their merch, i need some of those vintage scarf vibes 🔮💫

omg I was literally at this show last weekend 🤩 and it was like Kevin Parker had some kind of mind control over the crowd lol! The whole arena was so dark and trippy, I swear it felt like we were all transported to another dimension or something 🌑💀. And can we talk about that Eric Andre cameo?! 😂 I died when he kissed Kevin on stage, it was like something out of a crazy dream movie 👀🤣. The energy in the crowd was electric, everyone was dancing and singing along to every song... it was truly unforgettable 🎉💥. Tame Impala's Deadbeat Tour is definitely not to be missed!
