Umm, I'm totally calling BS on this whole "free" thing . 35k out of 500k? That's not a rollout, that's a slow burn . And don't even get me started on the quality control issues - if Foxconn is having problems with manufacturing, how can Telly expect to make a profit in the long run? They're already raking in $22m from ads, but at what cost? Data tracking and camera/mic invasions are major red flags. Can't they just make a TV that doesn't feel like it's spying on me all the time?
just read about telly's thing and i gotta say, 35k out of 500k is pretty meh lol i mean who wants a broken device with a camera that just records everything u do? it sounds like they're trying too hard to make money off ppl's data. the ad model might work for now but what about when ppl start realizing they're being tracked everywhere? telly needs to get their act together and figure out how to make this thing work without screwing over customers. 22 million in revenue is cute, but if it's not sustainable, it's just gonna be a marketing gimmick that ends up failing
I'm so worried about this Telly's whole "free" TV thing sounds like too good to be true, and now it seems like they're struggling big time I mean, 35k out of 500k TVs delivered? That's a pretty huge fail rate And with the manufacturing quality control issues, I'm not surprised users are experiencing all these technical problems It's also got me thinking about user privacy - those integrated cameras and mics can be super invasive We need to make sure companies are prioritizing our security over profit
Ugh, this Telly thingy just got me thinking... they're trying to sell us ads, but is that even a good idea? I mean, we already get enough spam in our inboxes and social media feeds - do we really need it on our TVs too? And what's up with the camera and mic integration? That just feels like a major creep-out factor right there.
On the bright side, I can see how their ad-based model could be a game-changer in terms of revenue - $22 million is no joke! But we gotta think about user privacy here... if Telly's not gonna deliver on its promise of "free" TVs, are they just gonna keep asking us for our personal info? Not cool, Telly.
