I'm kinda stoked to see someone like André de Ridder coming in to shake things up at ENO

. It's been a bit of a rough patch for the company since they lost their funding and had some major leadership changes

. But de Ridder seems like he really gets what it is that needs to happen, you know? He's not just talking about reviving old traditions or anything

... but actually pushing the boundaries of what opera can be! Like, have you seen his plans for incorporating punk and tango into classical music?

That's some bold stuff right there

.
But at the same time, I'm a bit worried about the state of the company right now

. The musicians and choristers are depleted, and rehearsal periods have been cut back... that can't be easy to deal with

. It's like, you gotta feel for de Ridder - he's taking on this huge challenge, but also dealing with some major logistical headaches

.
Still, I'm hoping he can bring his energy and enthusiasm to the table (literally!) and help ENO get back on track

. And honestly? I think it's kinda cool that he's choosing to leave Germany for a company that's all about taking risks and trying new things

. He's got some serious guts, that one
